mdmc82
Just watched this match on Foxtel. Bloody fantastic finish to the meeting. Chris Harris take note. A 17 year old with more fight and determination, AND getting the job done as it should be. One hit wonder? Think again. Haha great joke. Anybody who watches speedway regularly could not doubt the fight & determination Harris puts in even when he's been ran over by a bike. Shame you didn't see him at Brandon against Belle Vue Friday.

Midland Red
Best TV meeting I've seen in ages. Well done to both teams. Good grief! Agreed Harris is a true Brit with fighting spirit and is held in regard with Mountford boocock Olsen knudsen as Brandon legends Well, Mountford, Boocock, Knudsen
foreverblue
No reductions, no extra promotion. I wouldn't say that a terrible attendance but definately poor considering the weather, they should offer a reduction for tv meetings, Peterborough didn't either. Totally agree there should have been some reduction or offer. I believe Peterborough did a promotion to get more kids in, not sure of the specifics but think if you dragged 10 kids along you got in free, they also must have handed air horns out to the kids judging by the din!
Undercover Elephant
WHAT??? One thing Harris can NEVER be accused of is a lack of fire and determination, and certainly he has at least as much, if not more, than LambertTired argument I know, but realistically on current hunger, Lambert would most probably out score Harris had he cemented a wild card spot at Cardiff. He didn't, but that heat 15 win only reaffirmed who I would put my money on getting a race result being thrown in the deep end of any meeting right now. Poole Quay 7
The fact I generally don't look forward to seeing Harris riding against Poole tells you how much I admire his fighting - never give up attitude.
BWitcher
Tired argument I know, but realistically on current hunger, Lambert would most probably out score Harris had he cemented a wild card spot at Cardiff. He didn't, but that heat 15 win only reaffirmed who I would put my money on getting a race result being thrown in the deep end of any meeting right now. Current form? Harris scored a maximum away from home in his last meeting, riding as a heat leader. Really? Surely anyone who understands speedway would not have called that after the first bend the way the racing had been all night. That was one race destined to be raced for four laps, and indeed it was and changes occurred. Calling the score after the first bend of any speedway race is pointless, and can give the impression speedway is all about gating. You clearly don't like Pearson, I'm not a major fan myself.. however there is NOTHING wrong with his commentary in that last race. I've just watched it again and he conveyed the excitement and indeed the surprise of the race brilliantly. Anyone who understands speedway would know that the leader hadn't been passed after the back straight lap 1 all night. Anyone who understands speedway would know that Janowski, once in front is nigh on untouchable. Of course it isn't pointless conveying the situation after lap 1, that's his bloody job. He stated "It looks as if Kings Lynn's home record will go"... he was correct. It did look that way and you will find very few fans who expected Lambert would pass Janowski after he blocked his initial dive on lap 1. What his commentary conveyed was the sheer importance of the pass on Lambert and he did it well. That race IS one that would make a casual observer sit up and take notice that something amazing had just taken place and Pearsons commentary added to it on this occasion. Daniel Smith
Looked a very poor turn out & wondered if there was there any price reductions or was it full price ? Full price, the crowd wasn't as bad as it looked on TV. 8000+ capacity stadium and looks pretty sparse every week. Our promotion wouldn't have made as much £££'s has the admission been reduced. CB252
only reaffirmed who I would put my money on getting a race result being thrown in the deep end of any meeting right now. You'd probably lose your money then. In his last three EL meetings Harris has passed Zagar in a last heat decider at BV, nursed JK home for a 5-1 in a last heat decider at Brandon and scored at maximum at Wolves in a meeting in which Coventry tallied a 5-1 in each of his 5 rides. Lambert meanwhile has had a couple of iffy PL meetings and one good ride last night. No doubt he's the real deal but pointless using him as another weapon with which to attack Harris. BWitcher
Our promotion wouldn't have made as much £££'s has the admission been reduced. The most flawed argument ever. Your promotion and all the others have lost hundreds of thousands of £££'s during the Sky coverage by not reducing admission.

Oh brilliant, i know we are supposed to be encouraging the younger generation but i expect they were just running around getting in everyone else's view and making alot of noise with no interest at all in what was happening on the track or am i being a miserable old git!!

Once again I totally agree. Maybe we should form a miserable old git club Give me dogs at speedway meetings any day, well behaved, nice and quiet and will usually give you a sniff and cuddle

They did it at Plymouth the other week. Just a load of constant whistle blowing Brownies. Got on my nerves as they whistled through announcements. TheReturn
So little talk about a professional speedway rider thinking he had only done three laps? To quote the great Kelvin.. 'I find that very odd'. I don't think I have ever seen a rider pull his own cutout before either, another odd thing. I have seen cutouts come out in close hard racing but not like last night where it came on it's own seemingly?
heathen chemistry
watched replay again, have sky got a middlocam seems they have , almost every heat cut to middlo, end of heat cut to middlo...... interview middlo..... next race... cut to middlo and so it goes...... GoFastTurnLeft
Really entertaining meeting. Sure we would likely have scored higher with Holder instead of r/r but then the Stars would likely have scored higher with r/r instead of Bjerre. Impressed by the team as a whole tonight. North and Gomolski stepped up, Maciej led the team from the front once again showing how much he brings to the Pirates. Fair play to the Stars though, well fought and clean racing. Lambert is really impressing me lately.
robert72
No reductions, no extra promotion. That's a massive part of why the sport is dying.
TheReturn
One reason the sport is dying is the rules. Last night we heard very little about what the winner gets, all we heard time and time again, the loser gets a point for losing by less than 6. Ridiculous. Race to win, not race to lose by less than 6.
stratton
How can you say speedway loses after a night like that?!? The frustrating thing is last night showed us why we all love the sport, promoted right the product is there the best EL meeting i have seen for a while.
