stevebrum
That's something we can agree on, but I'm not going to accuse someone of cheating without evidence. No doubt you will be saying the same about all the accusations thrown at Poole over the years then.
Robert Lee
Horse & stable door. I'd listen to it if I thought it would contain 'I am standing down as team manager with immediate effect'. Don't know about stable door; gift horse and mouth spring to mind. Wolves fans should maybe be more appreciative of what they have: A long-term promotion team and a track that more often than not produces cracking racing. What might the future be if CVS gets fed up of the abuse he gets and walks away?
BWitcher
Horse & stable door. I'd listen to it if I thought it would contain 'I am standing down as team manager with immediate effect'. Â He doesn't mention changes at all. Â He says it was a "fighting team performance".. briefly mentions there are concerns over Lindgrens performance.. stresses how difficult it is to make changes as other teams have found out and says we'll see what the next week brings us, which suggested changes might be considered, but was quickly followed by.. with our away match at Swindon and home to Leicester... which gave it a different slant. *JJ
Â Don't know abpout last night but was on a GM on Friday. Â The result was pretty much as expected - Coventry are top of the league for a reason and this is not their first away win. They have riders who do well at Wolves so no need for Wolves fans to be too despondent as others get beat by them as well. Let's hope the match report which said both Bees were moving at the start was not happening all evening - we know Hans likes a roller! I was in the pits; after heat 2, Garrity was complaining loudly 'They are rolling it like...!' At least the junior team won!
New Science
Maybe because they weren't fast enough..?Maybe its because the only way to pass at Monmore is up the inside.Outside passes are as rare as hens teeth,Such a shame the quality of racing we are witnessing now compared to pre 2011.Poor crowd last night for a derby match with Coventry top of the league,

When the rider learn this there will be no passing as nobody will move off the kerb. But we're into the 4th season of this being the case and most have not learnt yet! It's interesting that Lindgren this year is like a carbon copy of Woffinden last year, I am wondering if some of the riders are doing too much but the new heat formula certainly makes it a lot more difficult to keep knocking in the big scores. Â Lindgren isn't the only one struggling, Andersen, Batchelor, AJ, Holder, Bjerre and even Iversen are also not producing big scores and averages this year

noggin
No doubt you will be saying the same about all the accusations thrown at Poole over the years then. Probably, but I just think batch has been poor from start season, so picking on one meeting is silly, tbh I don't think we're good enough to make top 4, even with changes. Troy IMHO is no different than usual, flatters to decieve.

People are voting with their feet, with more to follow. Only good weather can save the crowds unless changes are made. T.N.T.
As an occasional visitor I'm inclined to agree that the standard of racing at Monmore is not what it was. But I thought the atmosphere was good (at least if you were one of the many Cov fans there).  Cov did their best to give Wolves a chance in the first half of the match, and I was looking forward to a last heat decider - but three 5-1s in a row killed the match. Harris rode some exceptional second bends, getting his teammate into 5-1 positions.  It's unusual to see a team have a rider fall when on the wrong end of a 5-1 three times, and every time the fallen Wolf cleared the track. I say chaps, jolly sporting.  Wolves are woefully lacking in riders who can consistently win races at the moment - but at least they should get three points next week when Leicester are vthe visitors.  It was good to see as Coventry gained 12 points in those races and had the race been stopped and the Wolves rider won the re run each time, Wolves would have been 6 up going into the final heat.  Well Done Tobiasz (twice) and Lewis   An argument used often but I don't buy it. Swedish and Polish league teams are way stronger and no such thing as an easy heat either.   POLAND = Andreas Jonsson 4.40, Matej Zagar 7.72, Chris Holder 7.14, Krzysztof Kasprzak 6.46,  when a top rider meets a strong line up someone has to finish last so averages are lowered and the Elite League format here does the same but the problem is second strings have increased their averages unlike in Poland where they still have to face heat leaders as do reserves even though they do have reserve races.    WOLVES V COVENTRY  Wolves started the night with a bit of luck. Andersen stops in heat one, Sarjeant excluded in heat 2 for leaving the track after a false start. Garrity out done in rerun as Wolves jump the start, Wells touches the tapes in heat 4 but not spotted by the referee who puts all four back.  After a good heat 5 where Garrity nearly falls on turn one, Coventry provided the winner in 8 of the remaining 10 races with only Ricky Wells taking the chequered flag in heats 8 (Garrity off 15) and heat 14 beating the unbeaten Kylmakorpi.   Bees were better balanced, faster from the gate and worked together as a team to get the resuly just as they have done now on six away meetings. A well deserved win made to look respectable after the head start they gave Wolves in the early heats.

Steve I've been attending Brandon and other meetings since 1959 but this season the excitement I used to have has gone . I've been to three meetings so far and it don't do it for me anymore and I didn't think I would ever say that about speedway

mdmc82
They also had a much better team spirit: they were cheering and encouraging each other in the pits, while the Wolves pits was silent! The team spirit this year seems even better than last year. If you look in to the pits at Brandon they are always cheering each other on before & after races and all come out to watch their team members during races. If a rider comes off, they can often all be seen helping with bikes or new tear offs. Garrity has a positive effect in the pits and Havvy doing a great job.
