Wolves Vs Bees 29/june/15

Recommended Posts

I though the ref held the tapes far too long all night, caused tape exclusions and found it quite annoying to be fair. Good win for the bees but our new found Roman Matousek at number 6 is well on the way to fencing a team mate as well as the opposition, as good as he is I don't think he is easy to ride with. Robson was so close to being wiped out and as much as he is all action he will have a big off soon riding this way.

Wolves 50 - Coventry 40......or thereabouts. I like being pessimistic. :icon_smile_clown:

You got it the wrong way round Gemini!

Fred still reducing his average then.

If we bring in Ward you might have a point. Except it's to cheating bound Swindon #swindonthenewpoole.

Stonking performance.

I can't wait for Steve "oh the tragedy" Brum to post his thoughts...

Go Bees..... :approve::t:

You clearly missed my prediction early in the thread - already predicted a Bees 4 pointer. We have already throw the towel in like me!

Well can it get any worse?? Billed as a 'must win' match (2 weeks ago maybe but no one is buying that spin any more) we had to show some desire and passion and for the 1st half I actually believed we were the side I saw promise in from the 1st 3rd of the season and it looked like the Bees were self imploding in front of our eyes (that would have been a pretty sight all the same!)

Then the Bees came back hard and once Garrity had sorted his head out it made all the difference.

In the 2nd half the Bees were that much stronger and we were much poorer, its a simple as that.

The only positive I can take is that the Bees are awesome away this year and I had already predicted a big away win but I didn't expect such a fall from grace after dominating the 1st half. When your 3 heat leaders manage 11 between them and no race wins it's amazing to think we had an 8 point lead at one stage! Thank god for Ricky, Josh and to a lesser extent Lewis and Jacob. At least they show Except some fight and passion.

words fail me for the other 3.

It's easy to see why the Bees are one step away from the play off final already. Besides Poole they are head and shoulder above the other lightweights. They came, they won, we expected it.

WOLVES

FRED - looked quick enough in his first 2 but then disappeared. Bit like his average. 1/5

JACOB - struggles when the Track gets slicker but earned his place in the noms. 3/5

TOBBY - just couldn't ride the track and nearly threw away his only point by locking up too hard. 0.5/5

RICKY - will be tougher when he moves to heat leader although he was the only Wolf to beat Joonas, why no heat 15? 3.5/5

PK - never looked like winning a heat, similar to Freddie. Time to retire the old man. 1.5/5

LEWIS - started superbly but then got outdone by his superior reserve counterpart. 2.5/5

JOSH - great night for the lad with some determined riding and battling skills, that sort of performance from the number should win you the match he got let down by the rest.3.5/5 MOTM

COV

Hans - after a faltering start was untouchable, yet some Bees fans still want to give him stick shallow. 4.5/5

Robbo - not the usual battling qualities we expect at Monmore. Off night. 1.5/5

Joonas - seems to have remembered his way around Monmore again. Superb 4.5/5

Danny - apparently Britain's number 3 , was a one race wonder. 1/5

Bomber - total class and untouchable. 5/5

Garrity - shocking 1st half then got his head together. 2.5/5

Sarjeant - did his job in the 12th, otherwise ordinary. 1.5/5

Fair enough Steve...Good post.

Apart from the Swindon cheat remark, don't recall him being at match to have an opinion. ;)

As an occasional visitor I'm inclined to agree that the standard of racing at Monmore is not what it was. But I thought the atmosphere was good (at least if you were one of the many Cov fans there).

Cov did their best to give Wolves a chance in the first half of the match, and I was looking forward to a last heat decider - but three 5-1s in a row killed the match. Harris rode some exceptional second bends, getting his teammate into 5-1 positions.

It's unusual to see a team have a rider fall when on the wrong end of a 5-1 three times, and every time the fallen Wolf cleared the track. I say chaps, jolly sporting.

Wolves are woefully lacking in riders who can consistently win races at the moment - but at least they should get three points next week when Leicester are vthe visitors.

Cheats never prosper more importantly.

That's something we can agree on, but I'm not going to accuse someone of cheating without evidence.

Havvy is right, in the online match review comments..., it was nothing short of a sensational performance for the fighting Bees.

I always love my trips to Monmore for the close racing, plenty of overtaking and decent view - and this was one of the best, and the atmosphere was pretty spot on for Bees fans but must have been extremely muted for the Wolves faithful. I've always thought that a good, close away win is the holy grail for this supporter, and so was again last night.

Hats off once again to Captain Fantastic who thoroughly deserved the manager's glowing praise in this report. Harris is so aware at the moment, whether of the best lines to take, of his partners' and oppositions moves or of his team mates in the pits. A joy to watch And a vintage season to be a Bees fan, indeed.

i have to say I thought the Bees would win this one and they did by about the margin I had in mind,Wolves would appear to of had a bad night at the office with Freddie and PK scores leaving a lot to be desired .Freddie has been poor all season by his standards and I think that his ability to be a an EL number one is in question but PK overall ahs been scoring well and has increased his starting average .Was PK on the GTR last night or a GM ,maybe his crossing over of machinery( if he is using both engines in a match) may effect his scoring because he has only had a couple of really poor scores this season. For the BEES Harris would appear to of ridden a stormer but on his next visit may score far less and IMO he was the difference in the teams last night and well done him and the Bees on a great away win .

Harris was superb out of the gate, if he produces starts like that at Cardiff he will have an excellent night. It's one thing he has seemed to have improved on this season.

Don't know abpout last night but was on a GM on Friday.

The result was pretty much as expected - Coventry are top of the league for a reason and this is not their first away win. They have riders who do well at Wolves so no need for Wolves fans to be too despondent as others get beat by them as well. Let's hope the match report which said both Bees were moving at the start was not happening all evening - we know Hans likes a roller!

Well done boy's on a great victory in front of a big Bees following, after Hans pulled up in heat one I thought it was going to be one of those nights but all credit to him he came back strong in the last four rides. I thought Harris was sensational last night and was clearly the fastest rider on show mixed with some magic team riding. Jonas had his best meeting for the Bees and Garrity rode well once he realised he doesn't have to try and fence his team mates. I was disappointed with Danny king and Robbo, but both tried their best.

I feel that we still need to make one change to be favourites for the title and that Hans needs to pull his finger out at Brandon.

Well done again on a good victory. :drink:
