em1500uk
Well...that was a turn out for the books! Didn't stay for the MDL meeting in the end. All of the Panthers riders, bar Michael Palm Toft, looked very sluggish today I have to say. Basically, Plymouth were just faster overall. Don't know what the problems are for each individual, but I hope they're resolved soon. And as for this Konopka guy...at present, the less that he's mentioned the better LOL! One last place, one exclusion due to a mechanical issue when the red light came on as he wasn't under power at the time, then to top it off, one retirement. Oh my word! Not giving a good impression on his debut that's for certain.
coomie
You mean like Plymouth not understanding the rulebook? Not for the first time either. Anyway - let's all laugh at Peterborough - gone from being one of the title favourites in March to looking poor, and it'll only get worse from July 1st. you don't win the league in June mate so best not laugh at anyone yet could come back to bite you else! Najjer
you don't win the league in June mate so best not laugh at anyone yet could come back to bite you else! Absolutely - but losing at home to Plymouth is criminal. It's no wonder the Panthers fans are furious.

We have lost at home to worse teams than Plymouth in the past, so no crime committed today
SCB
So Konopka was reason you lost today that what your saying , not Plymouth were better side and one or two of your supposed better riders had poor heats. Yes, Konopka was the reason. It's not unfair to expect a 3 poiut to score 3. Add 3 onto Peterborough score and they would have won today. No rider should be scoring 0 at home. Crump99
We have lost at home to worse teams than Plymouth in the past, so no crime committed today That's true. Losing to a team that has 3 riders who rode for Panthers in the EL, with the addition of Newman, Holder and T.Kurtz isn't much of a crime . Losing at home to 6 fingers in 2013, now that was a crime
barncooseboy
Dont see why it was such a surprise Devils nearly won at Posh in the KO Cup and anyway its revenge for Peterborough buying Plymouths league position in 1970 from Fredf Osborn which ulimately resulted in no speedway in Plymouth from 1970 to 2005 Perhaps the clubs should swap teams. No rider should be scoring 0 at home. Riders score nothing at home from time to time it happens , so Konopka was not the reason they got lucky against Glasgow if it wasn`t for Simon Lambert banging in double figures they would have lost , so why is it not either of the Lambert`s fault for the loss should get more than 11 between them from the experience on the track they have, one man doesn`t make a team nor make it. "lucky" one of their riders scored well? Won because a rider scored well. Thats not luck. Thats the who point, to score well. Im not saying Konopka was the only reason, Ostergard should not be scoring 5 Lambert 6 and you'd expect Blackbird to score more than 5 these days too. But to suggest that Konopka is not at least in some way responsible is naive.
Pantherman
In heat 2 Williamson made 2 big mistakes but Konopka still couldn't beat him, then 2 engine failures. After the meeting got beaten by Danny Phillips, hardly inspires you with confidence for the future! Yes the normally 2 big points scorers had off days as well, but Konopka was part of the team so was responsible for the loss!

Or swap sports. If Posh have taken up speedway then maybe Panthers should have a go at football. Edited June 29, 2015 by Noodles
Crump99
Yeah that was truly criminal and something that will stay with me forever, scared for life Even that doesn't top 29/11/11 when the new look team was announced which was so far removed from virtually every team posted on Panthers forum that everyone is still wondering how did that happen? I light a candle in the back garden every Nov 29. Swindon started their Christmas celebrations in November that year I believe? The celebrations carried on until they won the 2012 EL title with our top 2? Now that was a crime Edited June 29, 2015 by Crump99
pointsmeanplayoffs
Panthers need a new number 1. And a number 2. And a number 5. And a number 6. Thank the lord for MPT (who was brilliant) otherwise they would have been even more comprehensively beaten.
crazyb
Dear oh dear Its going to get worse from here on in for the Panthers they have been poor at the showground for a couple of months now. Well done to the devils deserved victory Well, after seeing Plymouth get absolutely hammered at Edinburgh on Friday, even taking into account the late arrivals, would have thought Panthers could have won with half a team yesterday. But then, they've only had half a team all season. WHY replace a young Englishman with a foreigner (whether he's good or not, and in this case he's certainly not good)
Fromafar
There is not much being said about young Holder but he is banging in impressive scores at most tracks, for his 1st season he is class.

Thank the lord for MPT (who was brilliant) otherwise they would have been even more comprehensively beaten. Might as well throw in a new 3 and 7 while you are at it. It was a bad day for the Panthers - it happens. It happened to Monarchs at Redcar (and at home to Glasgow). You get over it, congratulate the opposition and try to ensure there is some improvement next time out. Blackbird & Ostergaard haven't suddenly become bad riders. Any more than Palm Toft & Lambert S have suddenly become world beaters. Yes you will be a bit weaker if it's r/r as of Wednesday instead of a guest for Allen, but not THAT much weaker, at home anyway. Lambert R is conveniently still at no. 3 in the averages, so it's Ostergaard, Lambert R, Palm Toft & Blackbird/Lambert S to take the rides. More of a problem if Lambert R ever gets a proper average and IF it ever goes above Allen's. And Konopka was presumably suffering from bike problems all match. I noticed that Thomas Jorgensen scored the same at Newcy yesterday (a large 0) - because of bike problems. So cut Konopka a bit of slack and wait to see what he does when he's got some bikes working (which the promotion are supposed to be helping him to do).
