Kent V Eastbourne 29/6

Recommended Posts

Thought kelsey was better and for a minute he never looked as if he was going to fall off, my only bug of the meeting was that in the old days they used to take the riders to a medical room, where they were attended too, with Dave being on the floor his life was not in any danger and seemed to be ok apart from the pain, why could they not have taken him to a medical room and treated him there to continue with the meeting or have 2 ambulances at a meeting that has a curfew, I know that when they have a sky meeting they have to have 2 ambulances because TV time is at a cost, i have seen from wiseguy was to abandon the meeting but that would mean for Kent have to stump up another running cost of a meeting at a rough cost of about 4k, or not refund any money and save money by not running the last few heats of a cost of 18 point at std rates thats £180, so you can see where kent are coming from.

when your loosing as much as kent does it looks like it needs a rocket up the rear or a big shake up. But at fans we can see it from the stands thats why i transfered away to Eastbourne during the last winter.

Came away from Kent grumbling more than I ever have. The curfew & delay I can live with. It was the track / performances that bug me.

As ever the Kent top 4 did their bit. All present know about the shocking decisions against both Ben & Danny so conservatively 4 points lost there. Aaron fell whilst battling and thank heavens for James Shanes.

It was the others that grated on me.

Jamie got caught out on turns 3&4 (as did others) and had a mechanical but was down on pace when he was running.

Danno put in his worst performance in a Kings jacket. Struggled to keep his bike going, had a centre green strop and looked like he could fall at any moment whilst still being slow. Is his time up?

Ben Basford is not the answer. Spent more time off the throttle than on and would have been out paced at the futurama.

I think what wrangles more is that Eastbourne were not at their best. Georgie Wood was patchy & it was the worst I have ever seen Kelsey ride at Kent and they still got paid 11 which just shows how weak we are.

The season is effectively over so try some others, if they show something give them a run and look at building for next season.

Finally huge best wishes to Magic. Kent legend & here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

Its always the fans that take the hit and feel the brunt though, I've had it with Kent this year, and by the sounds of things so have many of the other paying public.

Short term gains for the club maybe, but long term people will just stop going

I have never really forgiven the club for the shambles that was Leicester at home last season when they blatantly ripped off every fan that was there by forcing riders to ride in torrential rain for 4 heats to avoid having to reimburse fans

MR CEARNS ARE YOU READING THIS OR IS SOMEONE TELLING HIM THAT THE SITUATION IS NOW A JOKE AT THE CLUB.

Please tell supporters what you want for this Club ?

Because it cannot just fiddle around in this League for any longer.

I have had enough and will not return until there are big changes.

Elite league next year ? may explain why Kent are happy to just let the season fizzle out with what looks like no attempt to strengthen a weak team

Something needs to change, that's for sure

My view is that it will be Premier League on a Friday evening.

Then again I could be miles off - has been know before - ha ha.

I agree with all this criticism and would just add that its Len Silvers fault as well.

As a promoter who is (was?) renown for being one of the best in the business, he appears to have lost the plot or become completely disinterested.

They seem not to realise that stand alone clubs have nothing else. I mean if Kings Lynn's NL team doesn't do well its of no real concern because their bread and better is the Elite league. Kent now face the season finishing in a few weeks (end of August final match?) long before the bad weather sets in so its no real surprise that people are already giving up on 2015!, I wonder if some will come back at all!

I can only hope the promoters wake up, count the crowd and do something!

(Sorry but Danno Verge has to go, he will never make the grade)

I can't see Kent going into EL that will just lose more money than they are now

what makes you think that kent are losing money, they have no landlords and get very good crowds for NL racing.

After keeping a close eye on the away fans I now have a strong idea who Alex2000 is and lets just say it explains a lot.......

Well that's a bit difficult because I wasn't there

So some say they are good crowds and some say they are crap so which is it? In the middle? 6-700 won't pay for an EL club like Eastbourne found

If Kent could put on a better race track they'd be laughing.

Good stadium,

Good fan base,

Got there curfew lifted,

Surely add a bit of banking to the outside (only slightly) bit more dirt on the outside and rip up the starts a little bit and you have a racers track where the gaters like Morley can go from the start then the racers like Shane's will equally fly

Kent have got an extension of the curfew for Fridays.

When exactly from I do not know and the curfew time.

Agree about the track as this has been a problem for a while.

A blue groove should NOT appear after a few Heats.

i never mentioned EL racing, you said they were losing money now

Wise guy said elite league next year... Probably a joke. If Kent continue how they are they will lose money

I like Eastbourne to win home and away but turning over a team that is really struggling does not give that much pleasure. Kent have a great stadium and it is a cracking place to watch speedway. If they can get the racing and the team right, surely they are on a winner.

Get rid of Len and get someone that gives a hoot.

The team is far too top heavy and the track isn't conducive to good racing . Could be though quite easily. Good little track with a bit of banking and some dirt. Also why do they insist on watering the blue groove ? The dust comes from dirt not rubber . I like Kent speedway, shame it's not run to its potential.
