penchev
How the hell is it the ELs fault?! How long will it take for PL fans to accept they have the same issues as the EL (with one exception - you don't have Matt Ford)?! Berk
To The Point
What was looking a very good meeting now has the look of an average one was going to bring a mate for the first time decided against it [with all the changes to much to explain].Hope they fit tractor racing in when someone has two rides on the trot or we could be in for along night. Thought you would have seen enough of the tractor racing after last week
Goodiepatchie
This situation has been brewing for a few seasons now IMO.talk among true speedway fans the last few seasons was "surely the EL can't go on like this" but it has, their solution to sort it out ,the mess has impacted on to the PL now and is bring it down in credibility.Original Second Division start there were a fair percentage of young riders came into the sport just like the NL now, while lots were not expieranced they learned by riding in teams.I think the answer is to merge as many young riders from NL into PL to make up shortage of riders,Put stricter rules for under achieving foreign riders and don't use them to shore up teams just because they have an average that fits the points limit.Averages really have to be looked at and not made such an important part of speedway(it's on the track entertainment that counts).Riders averages can be false on a lot of occasions giving how they are obtained on track.Think we have to take a step back regarding standard of riders that we use to progress the sport forward again.Imo there are a number of expieranced riders "massage" their averages to make sure their average doesn't hinder their chance of aTeam place the next season. What you see now is " middle order men" being the sought after riders and costing the Promotions too much money.Thats my view for what it's worth.the old national league contained only British and commonwealth riders and no foreign riders were allowed to ride NL (until Rye house found a loophole and signed Dane Jens Rasmussen)Riders only rode in Britain no foreign commitments to take them away from their club No guest riders were allowed This worked well and I can remember mocking the British league calling it the British guest league Berwick's most successful team contained seven Brits The NL worked well it was a large and successful league untill 1990 Then a man had a plan The British league was small (10 teams at the time) Amalgamation was proposed and agreed and the NL died The man responsible was a NL promoter who I have no doubt would have taken his team BL without amalgamation The man was Mervyn Stewkesbury His team was Poole The NL of today bears a lot of resemblance to the NL of old Maybe Berwick ,and other teams, should look to joining that league to survive Edited June 27, 2015 by Goodiepatchie
screm
Thought you would have seen enough of the tractor racing after last week I know but wasn't it brilliant. We will be informed of the line-ups later in the week according to Newsletter. No newsletter from the club, though the teams are confirmed on the clubs website. Why are the Glasgow reserves missing, is it the World U21s? If that is the case then Alex Edberg should pick up more points this week. The way Palovaara and Berge were going last night at Peterborough I think they would have a massive advantage at reserve if they are here. Edberg will surely have a bumper night tonight and should be able to handle the two opposition reserves.
george.m
With what is effectively a 3 man team I can't see anything but a home win for this one. Pity the speedway gods have dealt it this way as this could have been a cracking meeting with a full Glasgow team.
graeme624
Can see a lot of last places being filled by Tigers tonight from r/r and reserve - Tigers will struggle to get one point out of this.
Weeyin
This is going to be a tough one to get any points from, we need Nick to be on it from heat 1, and the others to be at their best, covering r/r with 2 national league boys and a race rusty David Howe is a big ask
Pogo1
Tough one tonight for the Tigers, A point would be a decent return considering our 1 to 7, but it's speedway and you just never know.

SCB
if that's your interpretation of my post fair enough.Just giving my view.So what does this bit mean? This situation has been brewing for a few seasons now IMO.talk among true speedway fans the last few seasons was "surely the EL can't go on like this" but it has, their solution to sort it out ,the mess has impacted on to the PL now and is bring it down in credibility. Why being the EL into a discussions about naff foreigners in reserve going missing? Something the EL has tried to solve.

topsoil
Just a quick question Do you think Berwick are stronger with Fisher, R/R and Carr as opposed to Barker, Vissing and Hall? Nowhere near. This is going to be a very tough meeting tonight, even with depleted reserves for Glasgow. They still have a strong top end, Morris, Lawson, Summers, David Howe decent even though still a bit rusty. Fromafar
So what does this bit mean? Why being the EL into a discussions about naff foreigners in reserve going missing? Something the EL has tried to solve. Naff foreigners I am talking about are in the Pl.Glasgow tonight being an example.though to be fair Glasgow's could improve their averages, but there plenty other examples in the last few years in PL.Like I say it's in the interpretation in Speedway. Just a quick question Do you think Berwick are stronger with Fisher, R/R and Carr as opposed to Barker, Vissing and Hall? Definately Weaker IMO.+Fisher is very hit or miss this season, here's hoping it is the former tonight.Edberg is the key man for Berwick tonight IMO a slick will be required. screm
Just a quick question Do you think Berwick are stronger with Fisher, R/R and Carr as opposed to Barker, Vissing and Hall? Weaker, if we get the Fisher we saw last week then he is a good replacement for Barker, the weakness comes going with R/R for Vissing and Carr in for Hall though Carr should be in the points against Perks and Williamson. Victor Palovaara - World Under 21 Qualifier 2015; Dimitri Berge - broke track record holder at Ashfield this year and runner up in 1st round of World longtrack Championship 2015. Yep that's what you call naff
