Daniel Smith
Pretty good debut from Milik. Better than pretty good, he was sensational
Star Fever
Be interesting to see if the new guy can spark the season to life. If not, the wait will continue I think thats a safe bet after tonight's debut! Awesome display really got the crowd going Can't believe Poole didn't recall him but its their loss! Thx Mr Ford The rest of the team responded very well too...great to see Niklas & Ashley getting stuck in and looking much more confident, and Kenny too much improved! Thankfully another dubious exclusion for Robert didn't stop us giving Lakeside a good hammering after their fortunate win last week, so well done Stars
Trees
Wow Milik, brave, brave but controlled debut, can't remember Tomas or Bo Brhel racing like that, new generation Czech Race of the night with AJ And what a big smile, think he enjoyed himself NKI maxed out, love watching him race, can't help it, don't give up the UK Niels!! Soooooooooo pleased that Ashley and Nick had good nights, getting sorted The Norfolk boys did their thing in front of their kin, so good to support them in Stars colours, long may it continue! Special to have the captain Rory make his way to Lynn, if that is the influence he has on the team Just so glad he's on the mend, the other doesn't bear thinking about! Same goes for Kozza who was also visiting tonight, wherever he goes he will always remain a Lynn fav! And omg must give a special mention to Eddie Kennett, did he really win heat 14? Also to AJ in his last 2 races, pleasure to see him set up well and giving his all, Niels couldn't let up none for a couple of laps in 15! Kevin was good on the mike again, thank you and definitely preferred the presentation/parade before and after the meeting. Just gotta encourage the punters to shut up talking and give the riders (home and away) due respect during the presentations!
Steve0
Seems like a good win for KL but with such a dire travelling team as Lakeside, any rider would look good. I still think that Porsing is the weakest link and, if you have any ambitions in winning the title in your 50th year then he needs to be replaced. Shocking from the Hammers again - the wooden spoon battle is hotting up!
whippy
Wow we really enjoyed the meeting. The score doesn't relate to how good the racing was. Yes !!! There was racing and coming from the back which Lambert and Milik did so for those who say Lynn is not a passing track anymore all I can say is you should have been there. Milik was great, very entertaining. A great addition to the team. Dubious exclusion for Robert, he was sandwiched between the two Lakeside riders !! We thought there was a good crowd, didn't seem down to us. The team put on a show for Rory and it was great to seem walking 4 weeks after his op. Another great track prepared by the one and only Buster and a welcome return to Kevin on the Mike.
g13webb
WOW !! This performance was everything that has been missing of late. So much passion and effort from all members of the team. Was this down to Rory's presence ? or just a team responding to the fans calls?? Was it the riders wanting to welcome Milik, whatever, it was a much needed statement of intent. Everyone of the Lynn riders battled like never before. With only one last place, even when the gate was missed, the effort to beat an opponent was always evident. Lakeside were unlucky tonight, in that it was them who were the opposition. But it would have been same, regardless of who the Stars rode. Probably the scoreline wouldn't have been so one sided, but no team would have contained the continuous onslaught of effort and determination. Something that had been missing for some time. Although, Niels raced to an impeccable maximum, it will be Milik who will be remembered for a sensational debut. A fantastic crowd pleaser, an obvious talented rider wanting to impress, but those races against AJ will only fade in the years to come. AJ, although scoring low, put in tremendous effort and applied every ounce he knew, such was the importance. No quarter asked or given, this was racing at its best, truly awesome. In the end the score was 3-1 to Milik. but a massive thanks to AJ for the effort he made and for the show he put on. Much has been said about the form of Niels, Lambert, and Kerr, but tonight the difference of the team was the input from the others. Porsing was so intent to do well tonight, even when he missed the gate he came from the back and had 3 brilliant races to score important points, Do his confidence a world of good, and get the moaner off his back. Ashley Morris rode the best for a long time and was always in the mix, again a big confidence boost. Now that he has joined the Witches, hopefully, his confidence with improve as well. and last but not least was KB. With lightening starts he was away and gone in his first 2 rides with fast times, In his next two he was caught up in the elbow bashing of Milik and AJ, so no disgrace for him either. If he can perform like that, from here on in, that'll do for me. Could Milik be the impudence the team needed?? Will this new signing make the difference the Stars have been lacking?? Like I said, a much needed injection of intent. Next week we play Poole, obviously a tougher challenge. Will they be regretting not keeping hold of this exceptional rider?????? It also proved that maybe some rider in the team don't want it enough (Kenneth Bjerre). Another Milik / Lambert type rider would make us title contenders imo Also disappointing Bjerre didn't feel the need to ride round on a parade at the end. Next week is the real challenge and will give a better idea as to where we're at going forward.
mdmc82
Brilliant result for King's Lynn and good to see them firing again. Lakeside have lost all 8 of their away fixtures so very poor away from home. Next week will give King's Lynn an idea of how much improvement there has been in the team. Lakeside need changes and fast. I can see why they are hoping for Ward to join now.
foreverblue
Thats why most Poole fans wanted him back instead of Watt or North!!!! Me included! Milik going to Kings Lynn is going to make the play offs a lot tougher. Give me Milik and Pawlicki over Watt and North anytime, i still stand by that even if North has had a good season so far and Watt's form is improving. tellboy
Me included! He was bloody exciting to watch.Heart in mouths a couple of times with his braveness and balls of steel.Stood down the home straight when he went by AJ I just didn't think there was any room.I half turned my head expecting a big crash.Great debut and hopefully will carry on this never say die attitude which he will I am sure. Everybody played their part yesterday with Morris and Lambert being our lowest scorers on paid 8 says it all really.Although Lambert would have scored more had AJ got excluded instead of him.Plain as day in my book AJ give Lambert a shove into Kennett and Lambert ex. The two that was under pressure for their places Bjerre and Porsing scored well last night, but it was against the poor travelling Lakeside was it enough to keep their places? A sterner test next week but we must keep winning if we are to get into the top 4.

Exactly why i would have chosen him over Watt, really enjoyed watching him when he rode for Poole and so exciting to watch, he will never be accused for lack of effort. Poole are there next week, help!! Edited June 26, 2015 by foreverblue
g13webb
Lets not get carried away, One swallow doesnt make a summer, but have to admit its a bloody good start. I don't think anyone is getting carried away, last night to me was what speedway should be every week. It wasn't about winning, or the big scores. It was about the application, the effort and the passion shown in all the races. Yeah !! I agree they all go hand in hand. I appreciate, and at the end of the day there can only be one winner, but every team can show passion and determination even in defeat and that's all I ever ask for. I am in no doubt, if the meetings dished up that excitement every time, this sport wouldn't be on its knees and the fans would come flocking back........
semion
GRW, I meant it was a great debut from the new lad Milik, but Lets just wait and see if he can produce that level of performance week in week out.
start fox
What a difference a few days makes. The KL team were in a different class for this one. A reshuffle in riding order, riders moved in pit bays, all resulted in a fantastic performance. Great to see Rory back where he belongs, had to look twice at one point, as I saw him sitting in his chair in the pits chatting to his mechanic. Has he loaned his mechanic to Porsing for the remainder of the season, lets hope so!!! What ever he did to porsings bikes worked, for the first time this season Nick was on the pace and fast. Great team effort boys.
STARRGAZER1
! Kevin was good on the mike again, thank you and definitely preferred the presentation/parade before and after the meeting. Just gotta encourage the punters to shut up talking and give the riders (home and away) due respect during the presentations! Have to agree with this.Often cannot hear any of the presentations or interviews. In addition do we have to put up with such loud music,it is almost impossible to talk to the person standing next to you!
Star Lady
Anyone know if Kevin is now a permanent fixture on the centre gray?
pointsmeanplayoffs
Anyone know if Kevin is now a permanent fixture on the centre gray? I hope so! All whats needed now is the speaker system to be upgraded so you can actually hear what's being said.......... I didn't complain about the speakers whilst the other chap was on the mic which says everything. Kevin and Edwin are now the 'dream team' when it comes to presenting at the AFA.
