mdmc82
Thankfully Sky have just shown 2010 play off final Poole vs Coventry. Now that was a great match ! The fact that virtually all the speedway they show on speedway gold is pre 2011 tells its own story. Now we have Pearson weekly trying to put lipstick on a pig ,browbeating us that we are watching great speedway every week. Both the speedway gold meetings that were shown were brilliant esp compared to a lot of the meetings on sky over the last couple of seasons.
MD
Track was over-prepared, little chance of passing and showed up poorly on Sky. Glasgow never did enough to win, especially in the opening heats where they picked up too many last places. Â David Howe will take a bit of time to get up to speed though its a bit of a concern he was pulled from his third ride with a shoulder issue. Is this the same injury that affected him earlier in the year?
Lukas
I thought it was a good meeting..maybe not as good as some we've seen at the showground this season but still much better than the crap I've seen in the elite league this year
MD
Both the speedway gold meetings that were shown were brilliant esp compared to a lot of the meetings on sky over the last couple of seasons. They were before the new silencer changes in 2011 and produced brilliant racing. Riders like Bomber, Hans Anderson and a few others have never been the same since they were changed.

Wolfsbane
I reckon if there were any newcomers there then they'll be back. Â Not much passing but some close races, a couple of incidents and a last heat decider which was a decent race and the home team won. Â Criticising Tatum for talking up a better than average sky meeting is a bit daft. My Sky dish must have been picking up a different meeting to the one you watched. Â Let's talk about the first 10 heats.

Tsunami
Tracks often have this problem when sky are there It wasn't last year when the Diamonds were at Peterborough.

proud panther
The crowd was good for a sky match, although a lot of people got in for free. Thought the meeting was good from the grandstand, but maybe that was down to the score being close. Although there wasn't as much overtaking as usual, the racing was close, & there were a few twists & turns for various reasons. Have only seen it once, but thought Kurtz was unlucky to be excluded. Might change my mind when I watch replays on Sky tomorrow.

Tough call.
Mimmo
How lovely to see a meeting that's not thwart with the usual tractor racing. I agree with proud panther that there wasn't as much passing as usual, but it was still a highly entertaining meeting to watch, and finished at a reasonable time, 8instead of having the mad rush to beat the curfew. I do hope that some lessons have been learned on that score tonight. WOW, what a fab performance from Simon Lambert, possibly the best I've ever seen him ride. One black note for me, was the rubbish centre-green presenter who contributed nothing to the meeting that we didn't already know. Well to be fair to him, I guess nobody knew the silly dance moves he was trying to get the start line girls to do to YMCA...how embarrassing. Hopefully his appearance was a one off.....simply dreadful, IMHO!!
spin king
Not the best televised meeting at Peterborough, but it did have its moments and looking at both teams I think you will see both sides in the mix when the play offs starts. Â Also agree with Tsunami that the Brady/Berge incident could have gone either way dependanton what camera angle you looked at.
Mimmo
Yeah, I couldn't proportion blame for that incident. The referee did of course have the advantage of seeing the TV monitor, so can only assume it was clear on that. But as you say, camera angles can paint a different picture. The main thing is that Berge escaped unscathed, but on the flip side of the coin, it MAY have cost Glasgow a win.
robert72
Stop moaning about no discount. The club doesnt have much money so get ur backside trackside and do ur bit to keep panthers alive. Looked a poor crowd, saw a bunch of kids jumping up and down to get on tv with little interest in speedway. Â Teams need to look after the hardcore fans first as without them they would be in trouble.
Gemini
Never seen a bad EL meeting here. What's going on?! Only passes not due to mistakes was when Palovara gated and was passed by both Panthers. I've never seen a bad P.L. meeting there either and I've been to a few this season. Haven't got Sky so not seen the match but judging by the comments the racing presumably isn't very good. I wonder who was in charge of the track preparation? Â Â Â .....Gater1.......Kids in the background are annoying. Â Kids anywhere are annoying. Edited June 24, 2015 by Gemini
Tigerite
It was a decent meeting but not the usual very high standard of racing we've seen at the showground in the past. The inside line stayed too good through most of the meeting and the riders were chasing that and the only passing in the early stages was through mistakes, but the racing got better towards the end.
Bruiser McHuge
The meeting was very fast but quite tedious racing wise...basically if a rider hit the front he seemed capable of beating anybody yet if that same rider was at the back then he was capable of losing to anybody ....a rider like Berge looked a world beater when at the front and a novice when at the back...
Crump99
As the startgirls are shown mostly from behind wouldn't it be better if they held those boards the other way up. I doubt if the riders are reading the advert  No, it'd be better if both adverts were positioned correctly on the boards in the first place. Kids anywhere are annoying.  Shocking thing to say, but anyone who stayed away because of hoards of kids, good call  I didn't
