Wolfsbane
Thought Russell was in charge of track prep for Sky meetings? Be interesting to know if he's there. If he is, he's keeping a very low profile compared to usual.

Grachan
Yet again the Premeir League shows the Elite league how it's done. Â I wouldn't go that far but it was a good close match. Â What is this 'my league's better than your league' nonsense we always get from supporters of lower league sides?
SCB
Yet again the Premeir League shows the Elite league how it's done. the first half was rubbish. The second half wasn't bad. But it was hardly showing the EL how it's done as every EL meeting from Peterborough was good, that was the worst meeting I've seen there. New Science
They've had all day to prepare the perfect track for the cameras, this has been a shocker.Pearson loved it
topsoil
Good, close meeting, some fast racing, not a great deal of overtaking but the track got better as the meeting went on. Good advert for premier League I thought. The only disappointing aspect for me was the size of the crowd. I realise it was on TV and it is the middle of three meetings in a week. Are the crowds usually bigger? I thought things had picked up at Peterborough this season, that's why I ask. Those races between Morris, Kurtz, Ostergaard and Lawson have whetted my appetite for the Pairs.
gary moore
well, after reading most of the post here, all I can say is `What are you watching`? Bloody good match with close racing!!
Jonimac
2 points  (1) Well done Peterborough. Deserved their victory and the Tigers rode their luck till heat 15. (2) Is that typical of racing there? The track was appalling, virtually no passing, and quite the opposite of what was described as "a great advert for Premier League speedway" . Doctored, poorly prepared or just the norm ?
andrew parker
Best race track in the uk by a mile Its Leicester v swindon next week now that will be gate and go rubbish
oldace
I reckon if there were any newcomers there then they'll be back. Â Not much passing but some close races, a couple of incidents and a last heat decider which was a decent race and the home team won. Â Criticising Tatum for talking up a better than average sky meeting is a bit daft. Looks like we are in a minority but I agree. It was a pretty good match I thought. Not often a Sky match holds my attention but that one did

Anyone who thinks every match is going to be great needs a reality check.  Once again though, a very disappointing crowd for a TV meeting and a very flawed promotion from Peterboro. Have to agree. While I am not a big fan of Tatum you wouldn't want to hear him say negative things which wouldn't entice any newbies along. To me it did serve up some good racing and most definitely was on par or even better than most EL matches on Sky this season.
highroad119
thought the Kurtz/Berge decision would turn it our way, but not to be. no mention how young Dimitri managed to squeeze back past Kurtz going into bend 3, very brave move. tigers threw away a lot of points but didn't do enough to deserve the win. Bit concerned with David Howe, its a lot of points to play with if hes only picking up 3or 4 a meeting, hopefully will come good, not for a lack of effort. well done the Panthers though.
Woz01
I agree it was all a bit gate and go with a couple of decent heats. I thought I was going mad, everyone on the crazy Speedway Friends was raving about it. Think there was more passing at Lakeside on Monday. It was close though which kept me interested
New Science
Thankfully Sky have just shown 2010 play off final Poole vs Coventry. Now that was a great match ! The fact that virtually all the speedway they show on speedway gold is pre 2011 tells its own story. Now we have Pearson weekly trying to put lipstick on a pig ,browbeating us that we are watching great speedway every week.
