Woz01
Anyone know who is all taking part today in the behind closed doors event? I know they said that Birks, Lawson and Lambert were 3 of them. Lewis Blackbird is in it and Jason Garrity too apparently.
coventry1963
Interesting that Garrity will get a sneak preview as he has been named as meeting reserve for the GP. If he gets a ride on the night, its just possible he could use that track knowledge to surprise a few people.

oldace
Why should Belle Vue receive all the income from the shared events at the expense of other tracks? IMO they should get at most one shared event per season, same as any other club. Shared events should go wherever they are likely to generate the biggest crowd. The revenue (after expenses) is shared between the clubs anyway.
Blazeaway
What do you think the word 'shared' means? The profits (if any) are shared throughout the BSPA and are not exclusive to the staging club. Thanks for your expert contribution. You really are a condescending pr1ck. What about profits from food and drink sales, are they shared? Track shop sales? Car park revenue?
Mixy230
Just a Question. Who decided (came up with the name NATIONAL STADIUM?) For Manchester track. Humphrey Appleby
Who decided (came up with the name NATIONAL STADIUM?) For Manchester track. And is it realy a National Stadium or in name only? It's obviously for marketing/promotional reasons to leverage funding out of the local authority, although there are no doubt some aspirations to stage prestigious British meetings given the uncertainly over the ongoing future of Coventry which it could be argued is the current de-facto national stadium. I'd be surprised if it has any official 'national stadium' status.
