INCOGNITO
This year before the British Grand Prix there is a meeting taking place at the Millennium Stadium featuring 16 British riders behind Closed Doors. Would it not be a good idea to hold the British Final at Cardiff on the Thursday night and then make it a three day holiday for hundreds of Speedway fans while also giving the British riders track experience for the GP. Any reason this can't happen when they are already using it for private test meetings ?
customhouseregular
I doubt the attendance would be high enough to cover the cost.
Trees
What our boys be bloody guinea pigs for Ole's track, great, only hope all the boys that race next week keep in one piece!! Mr Blobby
I don't think it's a 16 rider meeting. I thought they were just picking some Brits to have a few races to see how the the track will hold up Edited June 19, 2015 by Mr Blobby
Trees
Whatever they are guinea pigs, they'll want them to ride hard or there will be no point. Perhaps everything will be okay eh.

Philippe has already suggested that practice messes-up the track too much, so I can't imagine it would stand up to another 20+ heats of speedway. He can't possibly prepare another Warsaw type track, can he?!! It would be nice if he could. A nice amount of dirt it was providing some good racing before the prima donnas decided they didn't like green light starts. The twelve heats completed made it a decent GP, I suspect if it had gone the distance it could well have been a classic.
screm
Putting the British Final on before the GP would be a bad move IMO, maybe if they included it in the price of a SGP ticket but as its run by two different bodies, BSPA & BSI, they would be a non starter surely. If the British Final is to be moved from Wolverhampton, and there is a good argument either way, surely its better to move it to a permanent base at another track. dabbsjoe
surely the only place the British Final will end up at other than Monmore is the new Belle Vue track once it's built

dabbsjoe
National Stadium, National Events...simples! but this is Belle Vue so they'll let all the crowd in get the money then call it off 5 minutes before it's due to start

But what about all those rain offs.
proud panther
Belle Vue sounds good for the British final in theory, but think we need to see what sort of track they produce first.

IMO they should get at most one shared event per season, same as any other club.
customhouseregular
One would think they would invest in quality track covers and leave them on until safe to take off.

The profits (if any) are shared throughout the BSPA and are not exclusive to the staging club. Thanks for your expert contribution. Mr Blobby
Anyone know who is all taking part today in the behind closed doors event? I know they said that Birks, Lawson and Lambert were 3 of them.
