SCB
Totally agree with DAC on this. Brits first every time. Yes I'll give some support to non-Brits but not ahead of a British rider. Probably helps that Chris Harris is one of my favourite riders anyway. Edited June 21, 2015 by SCB
Mr Blobby
No problems for zagar today in Poland dropped 1 point so far from 3 rides. Not exactly a surprise though
Shirl
I went to Leicester last night and was very angry at that joke Zagar. If you cannot be arsed and you clearly couldn't, then resign. I cannot abide riders who do not try and put no effort in. I would rather a junior be given a go. At least he would try. Just a note about the programme notes last night on the subject of the supporters club coach to Cardiff in support of Jason Doyle. Why?, is he British?. I hate seeing that. The last I checked he was riding for the lions and our No1 Think that's a great reason for getting on the supporters bus and going to Cardiff You obviously BNP in the last election . I hate seeing that!! I love watching the Brits do well too but unfortunately we don't have many at Leicester so cheering on Jason is not a problem Edited June 21, 2015 by Shirl

Shale Searcher
Back on topic.. Great win for the Lions against the Aces last night, impressed with Scotty, once he'd sussed out the right lines, and his aggression when duelling with Doyley in the latter stages... Hard, but fair in my opinion....

robert72
Yep, when I go to Cardiff I'm supporting the British riders. That's not to say I wasn't disappointed to see Crump win but I never actually cheered him on while I was chuffed when Harris won. I found it quite nauseous when Cradley and Coventry fans, for example, would wave flags for the away team in a test match and even cheer when a home rider fell off! I got into some interesting 'debates' with Danes with funny accents all those years ago. I will be supporting the 2 English riders bomber and cook at Cardiff. As for the sun at KL when sky was there, if you noticed some riders had tinted goggles,be interesting if the sun is out at Leicester that night to see if they carry on. Superb lions win last night

Gavan
I find it quite incredible that fans can support a foriegn rider over a Brit. If you are a fan of Leicester then your supprt should be with Tai , Bomber and Cook. Not Doyle. By all means cheer Doyle on in a race where there is no Brit involved. Seen this so many times over the years Cradley fans in the 80's and then more recently Poole fans supporting Holder Ward and Magic. At Ippo we had Gollob TR and Louis in the series and i would cheer Chris on against the other 2. Once Chris was out and the other Brits then yes i would cheer on Tony or Gollob

My views have only changed since he turned his back on British speedway,I was a big fan before then but why support someone who doesn't ride in the uk? I also won't cheer Doyle on against bomber or cook.

Of course i will also shout for Cook and Harris but if there was a race where not British riders were involved then i don't see why i shouldn't support someone who rides for my club. stevebrum
I was a big fan before then but why support someone who doesn't ride in the uk? Just forget he rode with British pride at Kings Lynn and was class for GB in the race off? Also he has really turned his back on the future of the next generation in the country by not forcing the BSPA hand has he? Woffy cares about his country of birth but the same can't be said of the people who run it. They are the guilty ones. Yes, it will be interesting to see what happens at Leicester and if Sky are happy to wait around while the sun goes down. Grachan
I always support British riders in international meetings. I barely notice Troy Bachelor when watching the GPs. I think fans are a lot better at supporting British riders nowadays than they used to be. You used to get quite a lot supporters cheering for the USA against Britain in Test Matches. I think Woffy forcing the BSPA is a bit of a publicity stunt. Belle Vue have had long standing plans to use the new stadium for training the next generation of Brits, including classroom training for riders and mechanics and they are part of the BSPA. I also doubt the scheme announced after Woffy's comments was cobbled together that quickly. However, Tai deserves credit for what he is trying to do. I have never doubted his commitment to GB.
