Newcastle V Plymouth Premier League Sunday 21st June 2015

Recommended Posts

Newcastle

Lewis Kerr

Anton Rosen

Steve Worrall

Christian Henry

Ludvig Lindgren

Simon Nielsen

Lewis Rose

Couldn't find a recent Plymouth line up but I think the Devils may track these riders

Kyle Newman
Morten Risager
Todd Kurtz
Jack Holder

Ryan Fisher
Roland Benko
Zdenek Simota

It will be good to see ex-diamond Kyle Newman again. I am pleased to see him at number 1. It will be good to watch a match that we should win, after succesive home defeats, but you never know Plymouth could cause us to worry if they get off to a good start

Their line-up at Berwick the night before is:

Devils: 1. Newman, 2. Holder, 3. Fisher, 4. Kurtz, 5. Risager, 6. Benko, 7. Simota. (thanks to Crescent Girl on the Berwick vs Plymouth thread).

I'll look forward to seeing Newman again but think that how competitive the meeting will be depends on which Ryan Fisher turns up (I hope it's the take-no-prisoners panto villain one).

None of the other Plymouth riders has any great rep (or any at all) around BP...remember when Morten Risager was the next big thing - what happened?

Is it not a nice feeling that Plymouth are not in the Edinburgh/Somerset or Peterborough mould. This match gives us time to regroup after Anton's come back. We could do with a comfortable win even though I would personally like a last heat decider every week

If Newcastle are to win anything this may hinge on how Anton goes. If he can be the heatleader we lack then welcome back the rocket Anton Rosen. If he cannot be our out and out number 1 then no problem Anton The rest of your team mates are not top heat leader material either. Lewi, Steve and Ludde are entertaining, I enjoy watching them especially Ludde. I think his outside blasts are great to watch but I think the track seems to prevent an outside liner this season.

Every match I worry about Heats 13 and 15 Lewi and Ludde do their best but their opposite numbers in these heats often have the edge. Just an observation. I can understand why this team were put together financially so in real terms I suppose I will support the team we have got even if we win Nowt! Come on the Diamonds

I don't quite "get" Rosen - lots of people whose opinions I respect are full of how good he is but it seems to me that most of his points are won from the gate, and he's not particularly quick anyway.

Funny how different people see riders in different ways : Ludde would always be the first name on my team sheet, but I guess he's like Marmite. (But please can we have an outside line for him?)

Ludvig is great to watch. The track staff should be laying the track to suit him around the outside. When the track is right Ludde is great and the rest of the team follow suit around the outside. Brough has a good white line too espescially on the 4th bend

Quite agree. I can't explain where the tight line across the 4th corner has returned from, from the days of Walsh, Pepe and Compton. Long may it be there, but often it is the opposition that finds it first and our riders take it to block their racing line.

Well sat here in my armchair and it is nice to see Newcastle have a full team.

Not going to happen short of a testy. but god, would I pay to see that. Applause resounded the stadium when he visited a couple of years back just to be interviewed by Dalby{where is he by the way} Nicki is true speedway box office.

Rosen had a horror injury last year, then this year broke his collarbone mixing it from the back. All massive disruptions for a rider still relatively young. So I think we just need the lad to ride to see what he is or is not capable of. Score in our earlier deafeat to Scunthorpe suggests he has potential.

I'm a Ludvig fan - but on current form, 'Supa Stevie Worrall' would be first on my team sheet.

Saw Ritchie was riding for Plymouth at Berwick. Is he also at Brough tonight? If so Kyle and Ritchie together would put my bum on the slightly bumpy new concrete of Brough. Wishes to Ben Barker for a speedy and FULL recovery.

3 man Plymouth team got a well deserved draw at Berwick last night so can see it being a close meeting tonight at Brough if the rest of them turn up
