orion
THE lesser of two evils ... not condoning it but I understand it. Quite often when I see a rash and dangerous tackle on a soccer pitch and the victim is the one sent off for retaliation I know where my sympathies lay. There would be no need for retaliation if the 'crime' wasn't committed in the first place. The bottom line your not allowed to do it ...if you commit a foul in football it's dealt with by the ref but if were to get up punch someone and say break there jaw you likely to end up in prison .. Jacques
Philip Rising was in the Ward camp and now he's in the Hancock camp, not surprised one bit. I have even less respect for him now, if that is at all possible! I didn't actually mind Greg Hancock before, but he hasn't half shown his true colours. What a little weasel....

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Not being on facebook or twitter means i have only viewed the incident this morning when the youtube links were posted. Re the exclusion - from the head on angle i can see why some have called it 50/50. From the angle from.the other side of the track 100% Nickis fault IMO. However it is far from the worst move he has pulled and i wouldnt think it was deliberate. Also agree Greg may possibly have been able to avoid a crash. Still unfair/dangerous though. Re the 'fight' - Greg totally out of order and lucky to get away with just a fine. The arguement of provocation is a poor one even if you see this incident as 'the last straw'. Perhaps an ugly incident all round but one that in the end could actually have a positive given the interest it has raised particularly from outside traditional speedway fans. Crashes and Fouls etc and mostly dealt with by people who run the sport ...the bottom line if you start punching people then you likely to be dealt with by the police ...I find it shocking that someone likes you things that going around hitting people is the right thing to do ...thou I guess it's because of your kiss butt attitude to Greg and his monster buddies
baba
Posters on this thread are getting attacked by the usual suspects, the gang who all agree with each other and move from thread to thread spreading their diseased point of view. How dare anybody say any different from them or even try and get their view across. Ready to rip apart what others write and then hide behind the..its a forum for discussion line. Im going to cardiff to see nicki p..lol No your not but maybe you are now. When you booked the ticket im sure nicki wasn't the reason if he is now ..you want to see him knock someone off? My 5 year old likes crashes but he's 5. Nicki isn't box office...just because a few on here say unfortunately the label sticks. Darcy's a alkie that label sticks. Gregs boring that label sticks too. Think for yourselfs
thebaron
It will mean a ban for Greg; but will it take immediate effect ?; hope it doesn't because I want to see them both at Cardiff in two weeks. Ramps that a notch or two if they're both riding. Whilst we don't like to see it; folks outside of speedway are all talking about Hancock "clothes lining" Pedersen. Talksport with Goughie and Ian Danter had this on the Heads Gone ! feature yesterday afternoon and then Goughie revealed he's going to have a go on a Speedway bike soon !. So look out for that; reckoned he had always wanted to have a go; and thinks he can skid it ?. So whilst we don't condone it by any means and there will be repercussions for Greg; any publicity is GOOD PUBLICITY as the Grand Showman Johnnie Hoskins would tell you. RPNY
. A most startling and disturbing point of view. . How? Would you rather a be hit by someone or be stuck in the fence at 70+ MPH? If ever you seen someone fence another rider on purpose it literally makes you sick to your stomach

Still makes me laugh now. He is probably no different to any of the other hanger on's you see cluttering up the pits at any given meeting too... Running around after them, only to be ridiculed behind their backs... I picture him sat with his monsters boys schmoozing ..... Very sad!
semion
Hancock has put down a marker with Pedersen. I wonder if other riders will follow Hancocks lead In saying enough is enough with Pedersen. Be interesting to see what happens the the next time NP fences a rider. In years gone by there would have been certain riders who would have, shall we say..'calmed him down'

If ever you seen someone fence another rider on purpose it literally makes you sick to your stomach What incident are you relating too here? As its certainly not the Hancock/Pedersen one. Hancock wasn't 'stuck in the fence' and neither was he doing anywhere close to 70+mph Whilst I agree with your last sentence, very few on this thread have made the very small effort required to sent best wishes etc for his recovery. There are numerous platforms where people may have sent best wishes, be it facebook, twitter etc. One's where he might actually see it as we're told riders don't read the forum
