Aces51
Both sides at full strength apart from Howarth guesting for Fricke.Think he is riding for his Danish club as this is a rearranged fixture. Should be a home win although Wolves often do well at Kirky Lane.

mark.1
What's the weather forecast? Hope it's on long way to come for nothing. It's raining now but should be gone for 4ish to leave a clear sunny night

stevebrum
Wolves need to win this, pure and simple. Hopefully Freddie can manage more than a couple of points this time.

bellevueace
Stopped raining but grey and overcast, someone at the track has texted meeting on that's as much that I know at the moment.

Aces51
A lot of interesting this meeting Probably because neither team is manipulating the rules and no guests.
EC Rides Again
Off ! More bricks showing through the racing surface ? Farce.
EC Rides Again
Peter Adams on Radio WM to say track didn't dry as expected after rain stopped around 4pm, leaving "an inch of slop" that couldn't be removed without making things worse. bellevueace
So why open the turnstiles?
mikebv
So why open the turnstiles? Because Speedway fans (well the ever dwindling ones that are left), still fall for it?!!!
Rob B
So why open the turnstiles? Good question, should have been called off at 6.30 at latest as referee would have been there from 6.00
IainB
What a joke! Did the track get worse between 6pm and 7.45? The roads outside the excuse for a stadium were totally dry!

Bruiser McHuge
I can't believe this match was ever "on".......it never stopped raining all day so I am amazed it got as far as actually opening the gates for fans.....they must have known much earlier the track was wet and unrideable and there's hardly been any sun or drying wind to help out.. It's no wonder crowds are dwindling...even if there was a slight doubt with the weather why would you even bother risking it..
