Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 17/6/15

This saddens me greatly --- James is a young and up and coming talent --- he is a popular lad. Why oh why did the cheering take place? I for one hope that next season we are in the premier league. Of course that is dependant on us still having a stadium.

i fear that the PL is in a similar state to the EL, but without the SKY money. Falling crowds coupled with spiralling riders wages, just add to problems facing the whole sport in this country.

Because nobody expected Hans to fail to beat an opponent?! If he had score 6 then Coventry would have got a point.

As for Robbo, Coventry have about 5.8 points available if they replace him. Now Robbo is a nice guy and all that but is he the answer when we have so much to play with?

Only beat Starke tonight ! Love robbo to bits but the bottom line is he is no more than a pl second string these days !

It's really sad to read all the comments on Twitter of Poole fans cheering whilst he was being treated and also laughing that he needed an ambulance. It's meant to be a family sport regardless of who you support and you should never take joy in seeing a rider hurt.

I remember the respect Coventry fans showed Holder when he had his accident at our track, showing concern for him and quiet whilst he was being treated then giving him applause as he came round in ambulance to show support.

I know it's not all Poole fans but the large amount that do it let the others down

I don't use twitter but after reading these accusations you made about the " Large amount of Poole fans that let others down" I goggled Poole speedway twitter and the only reference I could see on there about James Sarjeant was below?

@poolespeedway hope Sarjeant is ok.

Dr is currently attending to James Sarjeant who sadly had to leave the track in the ambulance, although was able to go in under own steam

As much as it pains me to say it coventry missed the boat last month when they had over 6 to play with to replace robbo who is better that's available at around 5.8 ??

Mikkel Michelsen (thats who I'd go for), Hansen (or maybe not!!), Lahti (not sure he's that much better tbh), Klindt (injured ATM), Ljung (probably not interested), Lasse Bjerre, Artur Mrockza, Rene Bach,

I will help you out with a few.

@silverbee52: Half the grandstand have just cheered for the Ambulance for sarj. Unreal!!!!

@alan_boon: Total lack of class from Poole fans. Fallen rider, loud cheers. Rider still down, cheer result of race. idiot tossers.

@Pinktuck: Don't agree with the cheers when the ambulance came on track #shocking

I'm sure you will but lets not let the spin get in the way of a satisfying Poole victory eh

After so many fabrications of late it's hard to know what to believe when you come out with these comments

Spoke to Havvy. Broken ribs and a possible punctured lung for Sarjeant.

Moribund meeting that took an eternity to run. Classless home fans, moronic start marshall and the expected thrashing.

Taxi for Andersen. Would prefer a junior in the side than somebody who can't be bothered.

Like the vast majority of Poole fans I sincerely hope Sarjeant is back and well to ride a bike soon.

Andersen has said he had a new engine and couldn't get the correct set up. Hoping for much better from both him & Robson as tonight was really poor and cost us points. Garrity & Harris scored well and they were carrying injuries.

Poole were the better team tonight and deserved the win.

There is always a minority of fans who cheer when a rider goes down at most clubs including Coventry, the reason most had a large intake of breath as opposed to cheering when Holder crashed was the gravity of the accident and the speed at which it happened. I have heard Coventry fans cheer fallen away riders at Brandon many times so don't make out Coventry fans are blameless in this regard.

Sincerely hope Sargeant is on the mend very soon.

The issue was, Poole fans cheered when the ambulance come out. Thats pretty sickening and it NOT a spur of the moment thing where you are cheering because your team has just gained.

There's a difference cheering when a rider first goes down (which isn't good) and cheering when they are told a rider is injured.

I can honestly say I have never heard fans cheering at Brandon or any other track before when a riders being treated on track and they have been told he's injured or when being told an ambulance is needed. That's just sick and shocking.

I am not condoning what happened tonight but in the play off final between Coventry and Swindon at Brandon when Coventry fans were still booing as poor Lee Richardson was being loaded in to the ambulance.

Just been talking about that just now, I thought Robbo would score big points in some home meetings but he just hasn't done it.

As for the result oh well but I didn't have Hans for scoring 1!
