naffer
Garrity rode well last night it was Kyle Howarth who was king of the ragged edge .
Game On
Was brilliant tonight. Maybe he was but he messes up when it matters and for sure he will do the same come the play offs
SCB
Maybe he was but he messes up when it matters and for sure he will do the same come the play offs You could look at it that way, or you could look at it that he got the final final directly which is more than I imagine any of us predicted he would do pre-meeting and once he got the final he did, in reality, finish in the position you would probably expect him to do - at this stage of his career Woffy, Cook and King are all superior riders. He did well to get there. Gutted he fell, gutted he didn't win it, gutted he didn't get the wild card but so proud of the fact he was joint top scoring in the meeting proper and has beat Woffy 2 times out of 3 in the British final at Wolves in the last 2 season. Every time he was interviewed he made me laugh too, until the one after crashing out of the final - where once again I was so proud of him. Had I been in that position, a mic thrust in my face 2 minutes after crashing out of the final I'd have told them to "go away" (ahem!), I thought he handled it well and actually showed great maturity. g13webb
Easy win for Poole. No !!!!!! ...... The score will be level after 8 heats when the rain comes. In heat 9 Poole have 2 riders that fail to score, and in protest Poole refuse to ride in heat 10, knowing the meeting will be stopped. Then we will have 100's of pages of poster moaning a point of view. But contrary to the Coventry match, now the posters views are changed, and its the Poole fans who are moaning about the decisions..... He was just as impressive off track as on track especially after that fall. Keeps that up and improvement will continue.
Gavan
Garrity is reckless as he over rides which sometimes causes him to fall and other times puts other riders on the deck. Newman is far more in control of his machine but lets just say he has previous for being a little bit naughty at times. Around Poole he could outscore Garrity But as for who is the better rider with the most potential thats clearly Garrity

mdmc82
Garrity has confirmed that he has re-injured the knee that he had already hurt at Sheffield But is going to attempt to ride through the pain tonight 😞 With Harris, King & Hans also riding through the pain barrier, I predict 52-38 score line. Newman is good v Coventry because he's always trying to stay well clear of Garrity, who for some reason always seems to have it in for him, to the point of over-riding!! PS. Great piece of pre-meeting build-up in the local Echo today by Middlo and Matt - should help towards another big crowd tonight!! Game On
After all the whining coming out from Coventry speedway and a few on here as well of late, I hope Poole go out tonight and convincingly beat the whingers I think Coventry had plenty to moan about, but that was no fault of Poole speedway as we were beaten by the better team on the day. Poole Quay 7
06:05 Wednesday 17 June 2015 NEIL Middleditch has stoked the fires ahead of Pirates' clash with Coventry by branding as "bad form" the Bees' attempts to get the teams' previous fixture restaged. Pirates grabbed a 36-22 win in treacherous conditions at Brandon on June 1 in a Sky-televised meeting that was curtailed after 10 heats. The result provoked a furious reaction from the Bees, the club later revealing plans to submit concerns to the Speedway Control Bureau in a bid to get the fixture re-run. However, that move irked Poole boss Middleditch, who admitted tonight's top-of-the-table clash at Wimborne Road (7.30pm) would be a "pretty edgy" affair. Middleditch told the Daily Echo: "I don't know what that was all about. Whether they were trying to get some publicity, I don't know, but I thought it was pretty bad form asking for the meeting to be restaged. "It's absolutely ludicrous. The floodgates would have to open. Would we restage the first leg of the final last year because of rain or the final in 2010? Where does it stop? "I don't know what they are thinking of. They lost a match and OK, it wasn't how they wanted to lose it or on their terms, but they lost it. "It wasn't me that refused to send riders out, it was them. I did everything by the rules. The referee told me the meeting was on and to send my boys out for heat 10, so I did, and obviously they didn't send theirs out. "The weather intervened, we got to heat 10 as stated in the rules so it's a result – get over it. "I received a letter from the Speedway Control Bureau asking for my version of events and from my point of view there was nothing wrong. "There's a bit of history there following that encounter but there's no animosity between us and Coventry, it's just going to be a pretty edgy meeting on Wednesday." Middleditch has a close relationship with Bees team manager and former Poole rider Gary Havelock and admits the controversy at Brandon could have been dealt with in a different manner. The Pirates boss added: "Havvy is as passionate about his club as I am about mine and if anything, it should have been between me and Havvy rather than Mick Horton (Coventry promoter) coming down to get his tuppence-worth in there. "At the end of the day it was up to the track curator and the referee. If all the riders had deemed the track unsafe then we wouldn't have ridden." Both Elite League leaders Poole and second-placed Coventry are at full strength for tonight's fixture. DunRobin
Thought it was his last ride when he came off?It was but that's a detail that those blue specs don't recognise, anything to get a win. However, we should never forget that Coventry got a win over 10 heats at Swindon last season & I don't recall any Coventry fans thinking this was wrong. The only difference was that the Robin's riders came out in heat 10 under protest, they did not stay in the pits. He didn't look in much pain when interviewed, just fed up with messing up the final race. All injuries do not show up immediately, there can be a later re-action as is often the case with knee injuries.
