#Piratepride. :approve:

Where have we made excuses. If you read my posts then you would see I said Poole deserved their win tonight.

It's really sad to read all the comments on Twitter of Poole fans cheering whilst he was being treated and also laughing that he needed an ambulance. It's meant to be a family sport regardless of who you support and you should never take joy in seeing a rider hurt.

I remember the respect Coventry fans showed Holder when he had his accident at our track, showing concern for him and quiet whilst he was being treated then giving him applause as he came round in ambulance to show support.

I know it's not all Poole fans but the large amount that do it let the others down.

I was one of those on Twitter condemning the morons that were making the rest of us Poole fans look bad. Sarjeant acted like a right idiot tonight (Haven't read the thread, but he was warned for jump-starting so he threatened the start-marshall and kicked the flag out of his hands before breaking our wooden barrier) was well as the move that caused him to crash was incredibly dangerous and I'm glad he didn't take Kyle out with him.

But that being said, anyone that doesn't immediately react with concern when a rider crashes, no matter what, are not true fans of Speedway IMO. For what it's worth, the applause he got from fans when he got to his feet was a lot louder.

So I genuinely wish Sarjeant all the best for a speedy recovery. but maybe try and keep the temper in check next time eh? It spoiled what was otherwise a really good meeting.

And something else, I said it months ago and it's even more obvious with Hans continuing to struggle...... Move King to #2 FFS!

I said at the time we signed Joonas put him or King at 2 depending on averages. Im even more convinced now Hans has shown no form for us so far.

Spoke to Havvy. Broken ribs and a possible punctured lung for Sarjeant.

Moribund meeting that took an eternity to run. Classless home fans, moronic start marshall and the expected thrashing.

Taxi for Andersen. Would prefer a junior in the side than somebody who can't be bothered.

What a stupid post written by an idiot regarding the start marshal who was only doing what he was instructed to do by the referee (via a radio link if you can understand that) !

Andersen has said he had a new engine and couldn't get the correct set up. Hoping for much better from both him & Robson as tonight was really poor and cost us points. Garrity & Harris scored well and they were carrying injuries.

Poole were the better team tonight and deserved the win.

Let's be honest Robbo and Hans have been crap all season.

every body except Jason is letting us down

Some people have short memories. The Bees 1-7 have been doing an awesome job right up till a few weeks ago when the wheels have come off a little.

You win and lose as a team but to blame riders when you have been winning is pretty harsh.

Yes Steve you are correct but I expect a lot more from our number 1 especially.

To be honest our number one wasn't great a few weeks ago, so much so that Watt was number one for a while but now he is improving every meeting and getting back to his old self, although still short of his gp winning form.

Going back to the who can come in for Robbo. From July 1st the Bees have 6.69 points to replace him! Also, Hans is very likely to drop to second string in August.

well one things for sure, we won't win the league without a change.

Unfortunatly Poole have the lions share of terrible fans. Tends to tarnish it for the decent ones

I've stayed off this thread til this morning - as later than usual getting back from the meeting last night!

Like many other decent Poole fans I don't condone the small number of idiots in one section of the grandstand who cheered the ambulance last night. I can assure you that many words of disgust were expressed towards those idiots. (Although I thought a lot of the cheering was at the ambulance finally coming onto the track, after what seemed an age!!)

I'm delighted to hear that Sarjeant's injuries are not as bad as first feared. I think he's one of the most talented EDRs around (I even have him in one of my Fantasy League teams!!).

However, I must comment on his belligerent and over-the-top actions towards the Poole Start Marshall, when attempting to pass on the referee's warning for 'moving at the start' in Heat 4!! He clearly wasn't interested in any warning, as he shook his head when approaching the tapes for the re-run. To then stand up and go head/helmet to head with the Marshall was just totally out of order and what clearly incensed many in the large Poole crowd and potentially led to any unnecessary booing/cheering later on - the type of incident that has a similar effect in any meeting!.

Any stronger and more experienced referee (M.Breckon??) could have excluded him from the race and/or meeting, especially after knocking the chequered flag from the Marshall's hand at the finish of heat 4 before punching the pit gate post as he strode back to the pits having dumped his bike on the 2nd turn!! In fact in hindsight, if he had been excluded from the meeting at that point, he would not have put himself in the over-exuberant position of causing his crash in heat 12!! The kid needs to be calmed down a bit.

Of course, none of this incident is referred to in the Coventry official meeting summary - why am I not surprised?!

Finally, well done to Garrity, Harris (very fast engine!!) and King for making a decent meeting of it, but on the night just no match for a strong Pirates side, who are still not firing on all cylinders!

Can't remember any mention of champagne, fireworks and showers in the official meeting summary of the Final by Poole in 2010. We didn't even get to see the usual match report on here as Steve Shovlar went missing as well. Sometimes things just get overlooked.

Surely the official summary should include things that DID happen, rather than those that may not have??!!! :D:t:

if this is true then a chill pill is required. No need for any of that in Speedway. Take it on the chin boy and man up and come out better in the next race.

This is the start marshal that was so upset at not being quiet quick enough to get the tapes down in front of Sarj and Jason to stop them from going round to the pit gate for attention to their bikes and then went up to Sarj when he got back to the tapes and grabbed him and started lecturing him.

I believe the same sort of thing went on against Belle Vue with Cookie.

Thats what has been said on other sites as well. Trying to provoke them for a response. Sarjeant is one of the quietest, nicest riders there are.
