Gazc
Surely Lawson started that with Cook though? He got beat what looked fairly to me but then didn't seem happy after the race, Cook always seems to react a bit to things like that but it was nothing but a bit of handbags. I was at the other side off the stadium so couldn't see what kicked it off what i did see was Cook head butting Lawson and you are correct he was on fire today and deserves all credit for that but that action is uncalled for regardless but done & dusted now. Lawson wasn't happy about something don't know what and started chucking his bike at craig after the race had a few words before craig made a head butting motion towards Lawson. Sam then moved Lawson away and that was that. Added a bit of spice to the derby witch was good to see. Ah thank you Mr know it all now we have confirmation so nothing to see here Blobby has spoken we can close this thread now. cyclone
Ah well, the tapes worked today. That and Rich Lawson's form the only positives from a Tiger's point of view. Can't take anything away from the Monarchs .. they bounced back from Friday night and out gated and out fought us. Perhaps Facecook taking it a bit too far though. With a guest for No1 rider and R/R for another it was always going to need our guys to dig deep and I'm afraid to say some just didn't turn up. Congrats to Edinburgh and enjoy your win. Youngy ... all I'd say in reply, is that you're used to beating us at Cashfield regularly (justifiably) but for a wee team like us to beat the Champions and some of their smug supporters (not yourself nor most on here) on their own trick track means much more to us than your win today will ever mean to a smug. No matter what happens between our teams in the future we'll still always have ... THE HUMP AT THE DUMP!! Some really topsy turvy results this week - Ippo lose at home on Thursday, then win at their local rivals on Friday, and now this !. BTW George do we now call this :- ANOTHER PUMPING AT THE PEUGEOT :P
george.m
Cook tried to headbutt Lawson after the race can never understand why you try to headbutt someone wearing a crash helmet defeats the purpose. Bit like women in burkhas taking selfies.

Cj69
Well I didn't expect that. Took a wee drive along realistically thinking we could get a point but boy was I wrong. Was like watching Glasgow on friday. Edin far sharper from the gate and looked to have more fight. Good points return from all our boys while Tigers only really have Lawson who stood out. Was a very good meet finished in decent time despite some sore looking crashes (hope both Riss and Lawson are ok) and a wee bit handbags thrown in to get the crowd going. Still impressed every time visit Ashfield now and look forward to the next one.

george.m
Come on where is everyone today? people were very quick to have a go at us on Friday. Same place you were Friday.
Fenway Bleachers
Looked like a scaphoid or thumb problem on the left hand Scots. Might be a wee while until we know how it is. Not easy to know if any fracture here even with X ray Erick was terrific today and possibly faster than Kevin in heat 12 who might have ridden a bit tighter if he had known the kinder was beside him. Speedy recovery Erik.....and Dickie Lawson who slid off over riding and trying his guts out in 15 on 4 th bend but caught the fence

Gazc
Any news on Erik's injury? Looked to be holding his hand but walked back unaided to the pits after treatment hopefully nothing to serious has really come on since the last time i saw him at Ashfield rode well today.
Paulco
After last night i'm pretty sure we will be fired up big time for this if any team can bounce back and win tomorrow it's certainly our boys.Well predicted Blobby . We certainly came back to earth with a bump today , out gated and out ridden for the majority of the meeting . Only Richard and the reserves riding anything like how they can . Edinburgh were very professional with Cook outstanding , though his reaction after heat 13 was disappointing . Yes the three riders , Cook , Masters and Lawson were very close together on the back straight , but that's racing . Though watching one rider wearing a crash helmet trying to head butt another rider wearing a crash helmet was comedy gold . Credit Masters for ushering Lawson away before it got really silly . Anyway well done Edinburgh , the pendulum seems to have swung back .............for now
Cj69
For whats its worth I had a decent view of the Lawson/Cookie incident. Nothing but handbags. Race over Lawson gives a wee back wheel to Cookie on backstraight who then repays the favour then a wee coming of heads and bikes together from both riders. Masters then got involved trying to get between them before Lawson made his way back to the pits. No point making this bigger than it needs to be. Both riders could have been more mature but it added a wee bit spice to the meeting, something derbies have lacked in recent years.
spt82
Any news on Erik's injury? I thought I'd heard them saying it was a cut on little finger on his left hand, so hopefully nothing more.
Paulco
I thought I'd heard them saying it was a cut on little finger on his left hand, so hopefully nothing more. He's improved a lot since I saw him earlier on in the season Where's Paulco?..after his crap remarks about Cookie.....it's funny how if Cookie and Lawson were supposed to be going fighting in his opinion, when the Lawson family let Cookie practice on their track regularly.........they are Mates in the real world....Here I'm here . What crap remarks , I said it as I saw it on the updates and I was stood about 10 feet away from the little altercation . Cook's a terrific rider at PL level , we all know that , but the red mist descends far too often

Paulco
Thanks ffor the updates on Erik. Assume Richard L. Is ok? Looked a sore one , carried too much speed into the bend and caught the fence , but he got up and walked back to the pits , waving to the crowd , after a few minutes medical attention
TheScotsman
Hope he is ok too then. Far too many injuries around this season.

Just trying to get some street cred with his pals probably.
