Triple.H.
Spectators will no doubt think there's a Timelord convention at the track due to the amount of Tardii(if that's the correct terminology) in the area.
New Science
Wasn't that what he said about Horsens as well? Bit confused about Kelvins track report. On the SGP website he said it was excellent, then after 2 heats he said 'gating will be at a premium' and when Chris Holder hit a rut he mentioned it was a problem with it in practise.Seems he puts a bit of spin on for BSI then is a bit makes it up as he goes along in commentary. Humphrey Appleby
Teterow is worse than Norden, or Pocking, since those were decent stadia, while Teterow is just a race track with some grass banking around. I actually think both Norden and Pocking are okay as regular speedway venues go, but they should never have been World Final venues. Teterow just looks incredibly basic. NOT really. The track was excellent when he rode it at 12.30 on Friday, before the usual hammering it takes in practice when a couple of ruts appeared but were worked on overnight. They didn't re-appear until late in the actual meeting. The premium on gating only really became apparent when four riders were on the track and the advantage from one became apparent. When are four riders not on the track? Should hardly come as a surprise LOL.

Sotonian
Yes, You are right. Norden now has installed some modern seating, which they got from Werder Bremen when the Football Club renovated the Weser Stadium a few years ago. Anyway, I posted these two pictures just to indicate that we do have quite impressive speedway stadia here in Germany (yet even Norden was criticised by many for being a poor venue for a world final), and now BSI/IMG chose a place like Teterow to host a SGP. That's because it wasn't the stadium back then that it is now, it was more like Teterow is.
Ghostwalker
WHEN KT was doing his track test... or indeed at practice So, it's hardly the first time that the track have looked good before practice. Imo since everybody knows that the track usually look quite different during the race compared to the practice. Perhaps it would be a better idea to test the track after the practice but before pots-practice track grading to get a more true/balanced view of what the track is like. Most tracks will look good before practice but it's not until the tracks have been used that you can tell if they will hold up or not.

iris123
KELVIN Tatum, who has ridden there, reckons the track is pretty good. To be honest,i think I was there the last time kelvin rode on the track. He was pretty much retired from speedway and was there only to do the Bergring, but someone pulled out and Kelvin agreed to ride in the speedway meeting as a late replacement. The track even then was a gaters paradise and its reputation has declined since.Last years U21 World team comp had bad problems with the track and I think one team at least asked for an inspection half way through. In another german meeting the senior riders refused to go out and the meeting ended up a farce with only the juniors doing their heats....... uk_martin
I gather that for STANDING tickets on the grass bank, next year, they will be asking €60. Who knows what grandstand (or temporary grandstand) ticket prices will be. This makes Cardiff cheap in comparison. What on earth has gone on to cause this price to be decided on? Needless to say, my provisional plans to go have now been cancelled, and the German fans I was talking to in Gorzow are of the same opinion. Have the organisers & BSI really lost their marbles? They haven't just shot themselves in the foot but they've obliterated their foot with an entire artillery strike.

Would guess though, the local organisers set the prices.

Pretty sure Teterow will be on the calendar but dates are far from agreed for a number of the venues.
Mark
Anyone know where in Germany is teterow and how would the crowd get to the stadium.
oldace
Anyone know where in Germany is teterow and how would the crowd get to the stadium. Teterow is approx 100 miles North/North West of Berlin and a similar distance East of Hamburg and those are probably the two closest German cities. It is only a few miles futher to Gorzow. It certainly seems to go against everything BSI claim to want for the SGP to allow a GP her
iris123
Anyone know where in Germany is teterow and how would the crowd get to the stadium. Like Oldace said it is a bit off the beaten track.Rostock is the nearest sizeable town and very nice it is too.As for getting to the track, well for the big grasstrack meeting they normally had(have) shuttle buses running from the town,so i'd guess they would do this for a GP.The fit usually have a rucksack full of beer and walk
