Newcastle V Peterborough Premier League Sunday 14th June 2015

Recommended Posts

Sometimes I wonder why I start some Newcastle v Another threads. hi-jacking is a crime in the UK.

I hadn't seen Robert Lambert ride until he won the match Newcastle v Peterborough. Yes that is what this thread is for. The youngster was pretty good to watch. He is part of the future of British Speedway. A talent like his should be encouraged not criticised. I look forward to watching him challenge the top riders in the world and sorry but Peterborough cannot stand in his way. If he needs time off to compete on the world stage it should be encouraged most of us would endorse this but if you are small minded you will disagree. Let us look at the bigger picture. British Speedway needs Tai and Robert to win international events so we can wave the union jack

That's very true; so to get back on track, remind us what happend and remind us that this thread is not about Lambert, only in respect of his match winning performance:

Newcastle Diamonds = 44

1. Lewis Kerr - 2 , F/X , 2 , 0 = 4

2. Anton Rosen - 0 , 3 , 2 , 0 = 5

3. Steve Worrall - 3 , 2 , 2 , 3 , 3 = 13

4. Christian Henry - 2' , 0 , 1' , 2' = 5+3

5. Ludvig Lindgren - 0 , 2 , 3 , 1 , 1 = 7

6. Simon Nielsen - 3 , 0 , 1 , 3 = 7

7. Lewis Rose - 2' , 1 , 0 , 0 , = 3+1

Peterborough Panthers = 46

1. Ben Barker (Guest) - 3 , 1 , 2 , 2' = 8+1

2. R/R for Lewis Blackbird - (SL - 1 , MPT - 3 , RL - 3 , SL - 0 = 7)

3. Robert Lambert - 1 , 3 , 3 , 3 , 2 , 2 = 14

4. Michael Palm Toft - 0 , 3 , 1 , 1 , F/X = 5

5. Ulrich Ostergaard - 2' , 2 , 3 , 3 , 0 = 10+1

6. Oliver Greenwood - 1 , 1' , 0 , (SL - 1') , 1 = 3+1

7. Simon Lambert - 1 , R , 3 , 1 , 0 , 1' , F/(OG - 1) = 6+1 (Withdrawn)

Ashtree 123, I will give you my opinion of your rant regarding Lewis, & will include a few facts. Regarding his crash at Peterborough, he lost 8 spokes out of his front wheel,so the bike was not easy to push back to the pits. Nobody liked your post or agreed with you.Lewis is regarded as 1 of the fairest riders by other riders. Young Robert & his dad had a major row a few Sundays ago, & the language was not good on either side. They are all facts. Don't think you have seen much speedway if you are surprised at riders falling out in the heat of the moment, because in my experience, it happens all the time. Greg Hancock can do it. If Lewis had rode at Newcastle, & had to pull out after a couple of rides, we would have been struggling to win the meeting, especially with Ulrich also carrying an injury.Better to ride at Wolverhampton, because if he had to pull out, he hasn't let Panthers down in my opinion.

Might have been different if Kerr and Lindgren had turned up as well.

Definitely might have been different if Ulrich had been excluded after he kicked Kerr off his bike as they were rounding the 4th bend. Dozy ref obviously didn't see it. Anyway, it was an entertaining meeting with some excellent racing, and resulting in Ulrich and Barker afterwards saying "thanks" for producing the best track they had ridden at Brough. We need to get back to a racing strip that pleases the home riders, rather that opponents and it is being worked on. After a reckless first ride, when I thought he was trying too hard and nearly fencing himself every lap, Robert was superb and was your match winner. Hard to realise he is still 17, but comes across on the mic as a tad opinionated and best at his age to concentrate on riding than slagging others.

A good meeting, but unfortunately a let down result wise after the Ippy away win.

Yeah,,, Bobby Lambert looks a talent, dunno what the 'Dozyref' was doing when Ulrich smashed Kerr into the fence, and agree, that was probably the turning point :-(,,, but apart from that and other stuff, it was a good advert for speedway :-)

Anyway,,, never seen you on her much lately, have you been unwell, or is it just cos your getting on a bit (old) ???

for all you know mate - he cannot drive and possibly couldn't get a lift back to UK in time.....

So how did he get over there in the first place? Anyway, there were plenty of flghts available even if he doesn't have a driving licence.

......and the FIM rules gave him an excuse...

And there we have it; an excuse, and a very lame one!

So what!!

You're joking, surely?

we don't know the full facts -.....

I rather suspect we do. If there was any valid reason it would've been given at the outset instead of the bullsh!t we got fed. In the absence of any acceptable explanation it's reasonable to conclude that he just couldn't be ar5ed to make the effort for what was, to him, just a low priority PL meeting.

None of our business.... ;)

WHAAT?!!!!! Of course it is. He agreed to ride for Panthers this season and he should have made more effort to honour that commitment, just like Danny King & Gino Manzares did. We stick our hands in our pockets and that alone makes it our business ffs!

The fact that fans have always been fobbed off, kept in the dark, and treated like irrelevant nuisances doesn't make it right.

Sorry I have to disagree with you, when his bike was pushed back in they didn't have any problems!!!!!!!!! I don't care if anyone didn't like or agreed with me, it is what I saw with my own eyes, You have also said that Robert and his dad had a major row....you have got the wrong Lambert it was Simon Lambert and his dad, so you are wrong again. Lewis didn't want to ride at Newcastle cos he didn't want to miss out on the British if he had of pulled out of the meeting FACT

It was Robert Lambert that had the row with his dad, & if you continue to try to tell me otherwise, then I am wasting my time. Also, if you couldn't see that the front wheel on Lewis Blackbirds bike had collapsed, then your eyes must be bad. Then again, you can't tell the difference between the 2 Lambert's, so you need to go to specsavers.

Ashtree 123 you have it completely wrong it was not me and Simon arguing in the pits - and apparently using language that was not good. So I would appreciate it if you got your facts right when you are making accusations on here about people but more importantly if you must aim it at all - aim your accusations at the RIGHT people.

Thank you Proud panther your last post is spot on!..

Think its best you contact the Lamberts to get the real truth or even ask them Wednesday

Sorry Stephen didn't mean to cause any problems but proud panther was making allegations about young Robert arguing in the pits with his dad, that cannot be true because they work together as a team,

I don't need to contact anybody, because I know its what happened. I haven't said it is wrong, but was just using it as an example that things happen in the heat of the moment. Don't try & blame me for your obvious lie regarding Simon & his dad.

I think 99% of forumites understood the point you were making.

Ashlee123 is trying very hard to wheedle out of the bollox about Simon Lambert & his father - publicly refuted by the latter on here - but still she refuses to apologise to you. She just keeps digging herself in deeper.

Bit like Steve Sh!tshoveller on the EL forum: best ignored
