Crump99
Does Newcastle get a mention on this Thread? Apparently the FIM gave the Newcastle fans 24 hours after the meeting to recover from their team's defeat and they took the option

Noodles
Lambert is reserve for Cardiff so it will be interesting to see if he exercises his right to miss the home match against Redcar on the Sunday.

PE7Panther
If I was Robert Lambert I'd stick 2 fingers up to pretender fans like you and others. next thing you'll be saying that the lad is burnt out due to too many commitments. we have got the most prodigious youngster to appear in our Sport for a long long time riding for our team and still you all moan - I for one applaud and appreciate Robert Lambert for choosing to ride for Panthers in 2015 - not that long after the sport was on its knees at Peterborough and very close to permanent closure. yeah, but we haven't really got him, have we? Not often anyway. Brady Kurtz has probably ridden more meetings for Panthers than him! Edited June 17, 2015 by PE7Panther
PE7Panther
I don't get it - Robert was allowed as FIM rules state to be allowed to miss the Meeting verses Ipswich... Peterborough were granted a facility as FIM rules state. These are the FACTS!! If Panthers hadn't blown a 8 point lead then this would hardly have been mentioned.... You studiously avoid the points that I and a few others are making. We all understand that there's a rule - a sh!tty rule - that gave RL a loophole by which he could swerve the Ipswich meeting. So please, there's no need to keep repeating it. What we're complaining about is two main points: 1. if Danny King & Gino Manzares could make it back, WITH vans, bikes, mechanics, WHY couldn't Lambert? 2. since it has now been proved that it was possible, it follows that Lambert simply opted not to. To me, the most galling thing is the bullsh!t excuses that were trotted out. Which kinda proves that there was no valid reason otherwise we'd have heard about it right from the off. And now that the excuses have been exposed as bullsh!t, the silence from the Panthers camp is deafening. No doubt they're relying on the tactic of last resort: "keep schtum and it'll be next week's chip paper". The only break in that silence is the odd forumite banging on about how Lambert was "allowed" to miss it. Jeezus H..... but that doesn't make it right! Until & unless we get a vaild and acceptable explanation (*) for his non-appearance we can only assume that he simply couldn't be ar5ed. So we'll remain very pi55ed off about it, especially as it cost us the points. (* I'm not holding my breath on that one!) I can't really compete with an ex "Panthers fan's viewpoint" (you'll need the programme or access to WWoS to get that) - I attend but am a pretender fan whereas the voice of experience last visited the EoES when? (since you mention closure, which is part due to lack of fan numbers) Certainly wasn't Friday so I can appreciate why she is empathetic to Lambert; although to you I don't understand Sorry for having a dig zonkers but it was self inficted Edited June 17, 2015 by Crump99
mudflaps
So, after all the bluff & bluster you know nothing more than anyone else... Marvellous That is the point in a nutshell. Is it Robert Lambert (Peterborough), or Robert Lambert (team Robert Lambert) ? for all you know mate - he cannot drive and possibly couldn't get a lift back to UK in time and the FIM rules gave him an excuse... So what!! we don't know the full facts - why should we ? None of our business....
Shadders
for all you know mate - he cannot drive and possibly couldn't get a lift back to UK in time and the FIM rules gave him an excuse... How did he get out there?
mudflaps
How did he get out there? Well I heard this through the grapevine so don't hold me to account.. I heard that his cousin Billy from Sunny Hunny was visiting his Auntie Veronica and his Uncle Vernon in Odense and dropped him off at Vojens stadium in time for the SWC play off meeting .. but was able to get back in time to get him and his bikes back to the EOES for the Ipswich meeting... btw Shads are you now a closet Panthers fan? as I am a Rocket? Crump99
but hey-ho, we know things do go off on a tangent now and then :-) That's very true; so to get back on track, remind us what happend and remind us that this thread is not about Lambert, only in respect of his match winning performance: Newcastle Diamonds = 44 1. Lewis Kerr - 2 , F/X , 2 , 0 = 4 2. Anton Rosen - 0 , 3 , 2 , 0 = 5 3. Steve Worrall - 3 , 2 , 2 , 3 , 3 = 13 4. Christian Henry - 2' , 0 , 1' , 2' = 5+3 5. Ludvig Lindgren - 0 , 2 , 3 , 1 , 1 = 7 6. Simon Nielsen - 3 , 0 , 1 , 3 = 7 7. Lewis Rose - 2' , 1 , 0 , 0 , = 3+1 Peterborough Panthers = 46 1. Ben Barker (Guest) - 3 , 1 , 2 , 2' = 8+1 2. R/R for Lewis Blackbird - (SL - 1 , MPT - 3 , RL - 3 , SL - 0 = 7) 3. Robert Lambert - 1 , 3 , 3 , 3 , 2 , 2 = 14 4. Michael Palm Toft - 0 , 3 , 1 , 1 , F/X = 5 5. Ulrich Ostergaard - 2' , 2 , 3 , 3 , 0 = 10+1 6. Oliver Greenwood - 1 , 1' , 0 , (SL - 1') , 1 = 3+1 7. Simon Lambert - 1 , R , 3 , 1 , 0 , 1' , F/(OG - 1) = 6+1 (Withdrawn) speedwayupdates/newcastle-peterborough
