Newcastle V Peterborough Premier League Sunday 14th June 2015

Recommended Posts

I'M NOT A FAN OF TEAM CHANGES BUT ITS LOOKS LIKE WE ARE GOING TO STRUGGLE TO MAKE THE PLAY OFFS ?? WE'VE LOST THE LAST 2 LEAGUE MATCHES AT HOME BUT WON AT IPPO WHICH WAS A GREAT RESULT BUT IF WE ARE TO GET INTO THE TOP 6 THERE WILL HAVE TO MAKE A CHANGE OR 2 AND I DONT MEAN LIKE LAST YEAR WHEN DANNY KING CAME IN AS I THOUGHT WE NEVER GOT ANY BETTER......................

Didn't Roy say, 'hope you do well for us', to Robert,,, who's 'us' ??? ;-)

MR LEWIS BLACKBIRD......................What a F 'in joke,

Firstly he needs to explain why he wasn't at Newcastle last night!!!!!!!!

He had a practice at Peterborough on Friday, said he felt good on a bike etc, so why no show last night, cannot say he was still un fit as he is riding tonight, and upto his usual self of taking riders out......felt sorry for Danny King.

Made a pathetic excuse for his crash blaming his bike.......saying his front wheel stopped turning.....hahaha very funny, as they pushed the bike all the way back from bend 4 to the pits with no problems

Management needs to have a re think on the return of Blackbird as well, cos in his previous ride before his crash, he came into the pits and went mental calling poor Ully a F**king W***er....seems to spit his dummy out when he thinks another rider puts him out wide....lol

Bye Bye Baby Blackbird Close The Door On Your Way Out

Too right he needs to explain,,, cos he wouldn't have scored 7, as the r/r did !!!,,,, Newcastle would've won :-)

"No I am not close to the Lambert camp, I am just the run of the mill Kings Lynn and Peterborough supporter."

Really? I don't think you'd pass the entry exam on the Panthers supporters Facebook page.

in your opinion mate - you are not aware of the full facts so i'd keep quiet until such time you are in possession of them.

so what are the "full facts"?

Just askin' like....

that is not a valid point as he was entitled to miss the meeting as per the FIM rule book - he decided to do what he was entitled to do. get that into your thick skull..

Slagging of Robert wont do him or the Panthers promotion any favours.

It would appear that Young Robert and the Panthers promotion have moved on - and so should you and all the haters!

But being "entitled" to do something doesn't always make it right. Or acceptable.

Using a convenient FIM rule, especially one which stinks, is a lame defence to the criticism he's getting from many Panthers fans. If, for example, a credible reason had been given it would've been different.

Something like: "there are a lot of factors to take into consideration and although it might just be possible to make it back I won't be there. Hope Panthers fans will understand and accept this. Good luck to my Panthers team mates. I'll definitely be riding at Newcastle....".

We would've been disappointed but at least we wouldn't have had our intelligence insulted by the bollox he and Ged Rathbone were spouting. We've had a belly-full of that in recent years!

Like everything at Peterborough we never get the facts. Been like that ever since Swales has been a "promoter?"

They played that game long before Swales was promoter. Even though I'd never get a Christmas card from Swales, I'll have to defend him on that point. Our PR is pretty good under Swales & Rathbone so I'd look further back, but when did speedway, or anything much these days come to that, give you the full facts.

An ex-promoter said to me that it's not what you say but the way that you say it. I think both elements need to be correct and that applies to fans, management, riders, advisors et al, as the last week has shown.

I am not aware of any Robert haters. Many however are concerned regarding him missing the Ipswich meeting and it may well be that in the fullness of time Robert himself may also come to see it as an error of judgement. I sure many would be only too pleased hear of the full facts.

I would for one. Am as disappointed in his no show as I am the new promotions excuses - especially after the fresh start of openness and honesty at the beginning of their tenure! If they or other fans are not happy with comments on here that's tough because I don't consider that my problem. I was brought up to tell the truth no matter the consequences and I bitterly detest lying and deceit and I sincerely believe the fans deserve better.

I don't get it - Robert was allowed as FIM rules state to be allowed to miss the Meeting verses Ipswich...

Peterborough were granted a facility as FIM rules state.

These are the FACTS!!

If Panthers hadn't blown a 8 point lead then this would hardly have been mentioned....

I was not in the pits I stand close to the fence, as they come off the track. saw blacky go made, and you could hear him mouthing off

also spoke to one of the mechanics and he told me also what had gone on, other supporters who stood beside me also witnessed it as well as me :nono:

But FACT is Manzares and King from the same meeting made it back... If an effort was made then it would easily be possible to get his machinery back overnight from Denmark!

And I'm quite sure his no show would have been mentioned regardless of the result... you've got one of the best riders in Britain at the minute in your colours and he's hardly there... If I was a Panthers fan, that would pee me off!

Hardly a sacking offence is it? Tempers run high as we see all too often on the box. Pedersen & Batchelor were split up in 2011. Oh to have been standing close to the fence when they came back in.

"you are not aware of the full facts so i'd keep quiet until such time you are in possession of them."

So those are the argument winning facts that Rodders wasn't aware of? Well that's cleared that up then: no case to answer!

I would agree that but for the result it might not have been such an issue but King & Manzares turning up made sure that it became one, and Lambert needing to lose the Timeform availabilty squiggle for Panthers doesn't help.

If I was Robert Lambert I'd stick 2 fingers up to pretender fans like you and others. next thing you'll be saying that the lad is burnt out due to too many commitments.

we have got the most prodigious youngster to appear in our Sport for a long long time riding for our team and still you all moan -

I for one applaud and appreciate Robert Lambert for choosing to ride for Panthers in 2015 - :t:

not that long after the sport was on its knees at Peterborough and very close to permanent closure. :nono:

The only problem being is that he is still choosing to ride for the Panthers (or not!!!) :o

What, you mean pretender fans who've been going to Peterborough for twice as long as Lambert has been on this planet! Which one of us will be going to the EoES regularly in future years? I may moan but it's done in the best possible taste. It's not my fault that people don't listen.

Nice tangent to the emotive to move away from the main topic to temp the "Like This" brigade

You indicated earlier in the thread there were other facts than the two above we all know about - in the absence of those I remain convinced he is not as committed to our club as he is the FIM rules and I don't like that especially when King and Manzares could have used the same rules/facts but CHOSE not to.

Win or lose that match to me is immaterial because I detest riders missing meetings just because some rule says they can - I want to see 7 riders committed to the club whether prodigious youngster (of any nationality) or not. As good as he can be to watch and as successful as he maybe in the future he is not bigger than our club imho.

For many it is not that he was within his rights to miss the meeting but rather whether it was right for him to do so.

So, after all the bluff & bluster you know nothing more than anyone else... Marvellous

That is the point in a nutshell. Is it Robert Lambert (Peterborough), or Robert Lambert (team Robert Lambert) ? Edited by Shads
