Sings4Speedway
Fingers crossed for a little luck tonight and that all chains behave. I believe Danny has got to the bottom of his bucking bronco issue and im sure James will welcome riding Central Park again. For the visitors Armstrong, Payne & Phillips look the major danger men but certainly could be contained and the boys have dealt with tougher challenges. The reserves look one of the leagues weaker pairings so will definitely be a night for Danno & Adam to step up especially Danno moving into the easier No.7 jacket. This should be a comfy win by 10+ tonight although it might be the final straw for some if its not!
waco
Remaining upright and not throwing away points will be the key to a good win tonight......
blueherb777
Oh dear,oh dear !!! I did not go tonight as I feared this is the way the team is going - to bottom of the League. Stoke have been well beaten in all 3 of their League meetings away from Home but get a much easier ride at CP. Feel sorry for Couzins and Shepherd who are struggling big time. And things will only get worse for Kings this month with trips to Cradley and Eagles ???

TurnTwo
You say make changes but who could Kent possibly bring in? Ben - top 3 in the league Jamie - maybe an option Aaron - on his average off the top of my head I can't see anyone Danny - fix the glitches and you have a heat leader there James - entertainment is brilliant just needs to learn to gate Adam - maybe an option Danno - won't leave the reserve berth this season unfortunately
waco
After tonights poor performance from the Kings the call for changes will be strong ..After watching i think his name is Bob Watts go round in the second half he has to be worth a go..Bens gating was not at his best tonight 10 Points.. James had a couple of brilliant rides but struggles in the big heats where he is usually last out of the gate 8 points,,, Danny Ayres is sometimes like a suicidal maniac and some one is going to get badly hurt soon if he does not calm it down a bit 7 points ,,Aaron after a fall in his first ride reeled of 3 wins and did his job 9 points..Signs that Danno is improving with 6 paid 8..Couzins well its hard for him at no2 scored 2 and Sheperd well ??? Zero ,, Armstrong and Payne were excellent for Stoke, with good back up from Widman and Phillips and were well worth their victory I suspect my old mate Team Manager Malcolm Vasey was over the moon!! The fans will start to desert soon if the team is not strengthened,,But how !! that is a difficult question ?...

They have had plenty of time. In previous years changes were made much more swiftly. Perhaps there were more riders to go around. However what have you got to loose, try another rookie. It's a shame because we have a good nucleus in Ben, Aaron, James and Danny. I think the writing was on the wall before a wheel was turned when Adam, Rikki, and Jamie were all offered a team place. At least Danno had some experience. Perhaps if there is not already, the guys could do with a mentor. When Eastbourne were at CP there was Martin Dugard and Paul Hurry in their corner. They could ask, is it me or is my machinery not good enough? Even when some of the three have been first from the gate they get easily passed and seem so slow, is it their bike or is it there ability? They need advice from experienced ex riders.
Countershaftcounter
I was at the Birmingham / Buxton match on wednesday last week and they seem to have the same problem, Harvey Banks was being his usual self, i.e. any points he got were gifted etc … Come heat 15 for some reason Adam Ellis came out on his bike ????? As usual it seems he blitzed the heat to win on borrowed machinery , so the question is , bike or rider ?? There's no point in having a fast bike if you're only opening the throttle half way ?
cityrebel
You only have to look at the progress of the rye house rookies compared to their kent counterparts. Sure they still fall off a lot, but they are starting to win races. Tonight danno verge was the only lower order king who looked likely to score any points.
Sings4Speedway
I thought last night both Danno & Jamie looked much improved. Jamie's pace had picked up and is clearly listening to tips on his technique. Danno got eased aside a little easily by Burnett early on but did mix it later and definitely looked more at ease. Sadly it wasn't the same for Adam who swapped falls for mechanical gremlins both during and after the meeting. Solid nights for Ben & Aaron who scored well despite two exclusions and if there was any consideration to drop him I think it has been firmly quashed. James was James entertaining but iffy gating. Not sure there is enough characters allowed to go into Danny but life is never dull with him in a team. Fair play to Stoke though. A solid night with dependable riders all doing a job. I feel on the night a draw would have been fair but.....

waco
TMW you are of course entitled to your opinion ,and while Danny can be the great entertainer he can also be down right dangerous at times a win at all cost attitude is good up to a point where serious injury could result..That is my opinion, along with a number of others i might add... Wiseguy
Aaron who scored well despite two exclusions and if there was any consideration to drop him I think it has been firmly quashed. I don't think Aaron has done that bad this year, but when we started the season he was our 2nd highest average behind Ben Bare in mind Shanes came in on 6 something and Danny on 4 something, and they have both improved What everyone is in agreement on is that Kent can't be successful with the 3 lower order riders, and there is the problem, Kent either carry on and write the season off or they make some changes, and unless people want to see the back of Shanes,Danny or Ben then Aaron has to be the one. Personally, I would have Danno and Jamie as 6 and 7 and let Sheppherd ride 8 if he wants, if you get rid of aaron it allows for 2, 5 pointers although I am unsure who is out there with a 5 point average and is available what happened to Freemantle? I suppose the only other hope is that Len can tempt another motocross rider across like he did with Danny and unearth a gem but can lightning strike twice. Just out of interest what would you do, would you be happy to let this side continue until the end of the season? I guess we won't be winning the league anyway as its probably to late for that now, the 4s a possibility, the knock out cup, only if we make changes now. I last saw Danny ride at home v Kings Lynn and he looked smooth fast and in control. Even an opposition fan commented that he had come on a lot since last year. He is obviously very volatile when he gets frustrated. I also read that it was something to do with his bike at Rye House which was supposed to have been sorted. Obviously not. He needs guidance like they all do and is there anyone with experience to give it. Do we have a calm experienced mentor in our pits? If not, how will these lads progress without injuring themselves and others?

If the unthinkable happens and Aaron was released he would be snapped up by another team and definitely return to haunt us. James had a very disjointed season last year and Danny was a bargain on 4.something so both were always going to increase their averages. You are right that the additional 2 x 5 pointers aren't out there though so rules that route out really plus I really don't see the Freemantle hype although ironically his failings were one of the best things to happen to Kent. I guess it depends what the fans call a successful season this year? From the current position id say winning the majority of the home meetings, few points away and finish top 5 would be a success? As for changes I think Danno will come good & Jamie showed improvement but im not sure any Kings fan has genuinely warmed to Adam? I think it will only take one to kick on and the others will follow, as it currently stands they get to hide as a group scoring a few rather than one individual. I remember before the first season ( 2013) Mr Silver say `if this team cannot win any silverware I will eat my hat `. Well we are now in our THIRD season and the team is still nowhere near to winning any silverware. I do not agree that just winning the majority of Home meetings (we have lost THREE at Home in the League already )and finishing top 5 is anywhere near being a success. As a stand alone Club in the Third tier of British Speedway,we should be looking to win something every season (like Cradley)IMHO.
Sings4Speedway
I completely agree that the Kings should be looking to win something every season and build a team accordingly. My comment was more aimed at success from this point in time. Thus far the season has been rotten, 2 bottom in the league, 3rd in the Nat Trophy table and both teams below in respective tables have a match in hand. However a turn around would inspire some confidence in both riders and supporters. Continue as things are and there will be some dejected faces around Central Park..... Ok agree that from now on success looks to be limited. The League has already gone. Trophy also looks to be gone. Cannot see us getting past Eagles/Brummies in the KOC. And to top it all we will not finish in the top 4 to get in the Gold Cup. We look to have a decent top 4 and could do well in the foursomes, trouble is when the pressure/crunch comes in League meetings one or two of these go missing ? I think if things carry on as they are, the dejected faces will be absent faces And once they've gone they may never return
