Cardiff Gp

Heavy thunderstorms forecast for Cardiff tonight, i do hope they close the roof, otherwise all the hard work and planning could well be ruined, you don't get a drying wind inside an inclosed stadium. just thinking..

THE roof hasn't been open since the track went down two and a half weeks ago ...

Blimey they just mentioned the Speedway GP tonight at Cardiff on the BBC News Channel

Some recognition for speedway then - but I can't see anything in today's 'Daily Mail' = not even in its sport-in-brief fixtures list. I did notice there is some other Grand Prix taking place at Silverstone this weekend...that gets two pages! My forecast - and I'll be proved wrong AS USUAL - Nico Rosberg to win from Lewis Hamilton?

Zero coverage of the GP in Australia which is frustrating as it's far more interesting than the rubbish at Silverstone! Fox Sports news had no coverage that I've seen today although the meeting is on live here, but no build up.

Pretty excited to see who makes the starts and get off to a good start in the first segment of heats. Naturally Heat 13 stands out with PK menacing at the forefront. He could steal that one given his start which wouldn't surprise anyone.

Really hope Tai has a good safe night. The anticipation for him must be incredible in the upcoming hours, like everyone else also. Again, just hope the track provides a memorable nights racing for all.

Perhaps your sports coverage prefers the Wimbledon tennis - and there is the F1 GP at Silverstone, top class cricket (England v Australia) and the Women's football world cup final taking place this weekend.
