SteveLyric2
Whatever your thoughts on the hearing and if it should be happening, whos wrong etc. Surely anyone can see that it's madness to have a Poole promoter involved in the decision making process?! http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway/piratesnews/13377355.Speedway__Pirates_co_promoter_Pairman_keen_to_avoid_conflict_of_interest_in_Coventry_hearing/ Just remind everyone again who the Chair of the SCB is???!! SCB
Just remind everyone again who the Chair of the SCB is???!! He is not employed and does not have a financial stake in any speedway team. But tbf, even he, if it's a conflict of interest should not be involved.

I'll tell you what there statement will say, "Result stands. But lessons have been learnt, won't happen again. We'll do things slightly different and move on. Im guessing it could take 40 days! Not heard anything - and don't expect to as far as Poole are concerned as they did absolutely nothing wrong. To be fair to the SCB they are usually very prompt in making their announcements - assuming there is anything to announce?! I guess any wording would have to be 'agreed' by all concerned especially GSI and Coventry!!
Woz01
Possibly hear something tonight? Horton is usually interviewed during the meeting.

No one's accusing Poole, riders or management, it's GSI/Sky and the meeting steward - at least, that's how I remember it

Nothing to do with yesterday's meeting however. Some may have done, but in many people's view, any team in Poole's situation would endeavour to get through Heat 10 - that's what the present rules allow Bees would, and have, done the same, and there's absolutely no blame attached to Muddlo The problem was that the meeting should never have started, then there was the refusal of the steward to do a track inspection after he promised to do so, followed by the GSI statement As you say, Poole did no wrong - but many others did

When SKY are in town and the weather is iffy the minimum requirement on all parties is surely to get to Heat 10? The fans in the stadium, the viewers watching and SKY surely deserve that? I don't subscribe to the point that the meeting shouldn't have started however. The track was OK to start with. All efforts should be made by BOTH teams and ALL riders that if a meeting starts they should endeavour to try and get to heat 10 without making the sport look even more ridiculous. It shouldn't have started as the promotion wanted to call it off the morning but wasn't allowed to. That's the issue. If it wasn't on Sky it would've been postponed, there shouldn't be different policies for tv and non tv meetings.

No wonder the sport stinks more and more with each passing season.
