It's a similar situation at a lot of clubs...I don't think the tandem will get an outing at Redcar this year
Django
I think the team changes will come when Kenneth gets his proper average (1 more home meeting???). I do think him and Nicki have taken the pee here though. They just didn't fancy coming over for a tough meeting where they wouldn't score many (if any). Well done to Rene for caring enough to make the effort! Good luck to Kyle tonight as well, he is flying at the moment so would expect him to qualify. He will be wearing the number 1 for us by the end of the month
topgun
Right so Kyle goes to nu 1 what about Hansen ,wethers, and Barrett do we keep them i think not just a waste of time
Django
I think Hansen is good on a 5 and a bit average, one of the others will drop out for Rusty to come back which isn't far off apparently then see if another change can be worked in with what's left over. Would have had more points to play with if Kyle and Ricky's averages hadn't gone up so much

StevePark
Kenneth Hansen scored paid 11 from 4 rides tonight in Sweden! Injured for tomorrow though... We are becoming laughable indeed, it's a shame when we've got 3 top riders in Howarth, Wells and Bach who are going really well. Just got nothing else. Copied and pasted form Comets Website: Kenneth Hansen has been struggling with his injury since crashing out in his third ride at Workington on Monday afternoon when he injured his inner left thigh and banged his ribs. He bravely tried to ride in Sweden tonight but had to pull out after four rides as he was struggling quite badly so he will not be fit to race at Armadale tomorrow. He should have and would have taken 6 rides in the meeting. This is a translated extract from the Valsarna Speedway report from tonights meeting "What happened? The home team had a seemingly safe lead when it was two heats remaining. 43-35 was status. When did Kenneth Hansen, who drove revbensskadad whole match that it was time to throw in the towel. He got no air and the blackened for my eyes. "It was dangerous to drive on, notes Mike Lackey. He was replaced by reserve Dennis Jonsson. But Jablonski came to start. It was supposed to take three points in the final two heats. It would fix itself. But speedway is a speedway. " Make of that what you will! Ive earned a few £'s this week I'll just give tomorrow a miss.Is what I make of it.Should he have been passed fit to ride in the meeting if he is injured to the extent he makes out.He never fell during the meeting but could not continue. Lord Lucan
Have to agree with most of the comments on here, it's blatantly obvious that the Comets aren't anywhere near competitive at Edinburgh thesedays so any excuse will do, just get the meeting out of the way and move on? Thinking along the lines of keeping it to less than 60, that will be a very good result under the circumstances!! Good idea taking Pyjper, ex track specialist so hopefully he still has an idea of a quick route round the place, gonna take more than Wells/Bach to dig us out of this hole? topgun
Has I have said before they put the wrong team together and now we are paying for it
Nutz
How many more Janowski / Hansen incidents do we need to actually do something about this? He pulled out of his 5th/6th ride as he couldn't continue yet had still scored heavily in the meeting? I mean, really? This isn't just impacting on Workington (who I feel sorry for) but also Edinburgh who are losing the gate with no Workington supporter's coach travelling north for this meeting... The Comets always used to bring a healthy following North with them but it's dwindled in the past couple of seasons and now has disappeared apart from those hardy soles who will drive up themselves this evening...
topgun
This has got to be the worst team ever to wear the blue and white we have 3 good riders in howarth, wells and Bach the rest just there to make the team up God help us something needs done but I don't think it will happen. jenga
This has got to be the worst team ever to wear the blue and white That,s good to read from my point of view. personally speaking.. Has I have said before they put the wrong team together and now we are paying for it you are only paying for it , if you turn up at the turn styles. Nothing wrong with strenghtening the Team but where do you find the riders!! we already have the riders to strengthen. it does not take much working out. just one happy face to fit in .imo. Django
Who would you bring in? Personally I think Kenneth would be good value on a 5 and a bit average, he's very good at Derwent Park and he gets the crowd involved more than any of the others

If you read what I said earlier in this thread I've already stated that I think Hansen and Barrett are taking the pee. I do however still think Hansen would be value on a lower average and an entertainer at home, I'd have him in my team
