Leicester Lions V Wolverhampton Wolves, Sat 30th May 2015

Recommended Posts

Tbh almost all the number ones have struggled this season. Have to wonder if they have decided its not worth investing in top quality bikes for the el? Allied with the race format meaning the odd shocker is always possible. Is Doyle the only number one not to come under criticism this season?

Would add that I can't see how anyone could criticise Pk for his performance here.

Steve brum - just like last year, getting carried away by early season results. If you sign ward though I reckon you could make the play offs.

come on Steve...it's only one big defeat. The fact it is against the bottom team is just a minor detail. Lindgren making Miedzinski look like the signing of the season.

No doubt you will chomping at the bit when Miedzinski returns, and the Robins join Wolves in the bottom 4. ;-))

I had plenty to be optimistic about, a side with potential all the way thru. But you win no matches when your number one scores abysmally - as the Aces, Pirates, Robins have already found out this season.

Decided to go to this late on after the Lendava fiasco. Big mistake.

Wolves dreadful, Karlsson and Garrity apart.

Heat one excellent, the other 14 poor.

That was 17 quid that would have been better off staying in my pocket!

That's simply not true, the first 2 thirds of the meeting was cracking the final third was not so good as the track got slicker.

Just read the comments from the texter on the speedway updates website.

It looked like too many Wolves riders were not up for the fight excepting Karlsson and Garrity who were good value......Wolves are definitely not a better team than Leicester....possibly equal but not better!

PK was on a Gehard GTR engine, looked up to the job, PK was the best Wolves rider on display tonight.... Good for him!

First works rider maybe Wolves should get Tatum out of retirement( cant bemuch worse than Freddie at the moment ) as well he has been test rider for the GTR I believe :D

Don't think PK has let anyone down tonight taking 3 on the spin( winning one ) and snapping at Doyle's heels in at least one other race ,he would be along way down my list to complain about .Just don't know whats wrong with Freddie but needs to do something to put things right otherwise he will reflect what happened last season with Tai sadly .

Did you notice PK was on a Gerhard engine tonight!

Does anyone field a team now days with out guest What a joke the so called ELITE league is

And of course the PL and NL never have guests. DOH.

The league table says different. Perhaps when you catch us up you can make such a claim. Well done on a good victory, however the truth is the Lions have been dire most of the season.

The Lions have had a terrible season, with riders signed on that didn't want to bother being there then uped and left them in the lurch. Plus a spate of accidents, so the fact that we have loads of guest riders, is not down to the clubs, but the number of riders who have fallen to injury again this year. There are not many clubs in the EL that are not having to use guests, through injury.

Is it time to have at least another couple of riders per team to use when the time comes. They could always be used to cover for other missing riders on other teams.

From the amount of bad injuries this year they would have all been busy. Good win for the Lions, it boils down to something though when a reserve rider goes out and scores the highest points in a team and a guest at that. Thought Garrity would do well. Pity that Clegg didn't ride as well as he did at the end of last year.

So how many riders are going to try out the new Gerhard engine this year, seems it was going well for PK, should think that if one or two more stsrt using it, then there will be one or two alarm bells ringing at the other eninge manifacturers. Good to see that Gerhard seems to have a product that has been well put together and all the testing has proved its worth. Just have to wait and see if it is as reliable as they have stated.

As the aforementioned texter (and I'll take the opportunity to apologise for sodding up the scores - entirely my fault), the first half of the meeting was as good as I have seen at Leicester. It became a bit one lineish after that but it still wasn't that bad.

I'll be coming again. :)

So last week we have freak looking karaoke singer .

These week we have a reggae singer who can't sing & just spouts utter bulls into the mic for 10 mins . One thing is for sure i am taking my ear defenders on the 20th just incase they decide to bring the next joker to peform.

This is speedway not the X factor !!!!!

Admittedly having the singers is 1 step up on listening to Popple blab on about how Wolves have lost their last 5 matches YET AGAIN WRONG they tore Lakeside apart on monday 60-33. That bloke needs a 1 way ticket out of JRSS.

Onto the speedway a good performance from the 4 lions & guests. Nice to see Lambert with some fire in his belly & rode well for his points.

Just to confirm the interval last night was longer then usual because they had to wait for a 2nd paramedic to arrive because the 1st one's wife had gone into labour so had to leave.

Hopefully it's not the internationally unrenowned karaoke star and friend of the management, Mrs Sully, being introduced by the Popplemeister. I fear Lionking might be on a double murder charge if it is!
