Bagpuss
Fifteen real points from the three guests is poor, might have had a chance of a point with all our riders. Time for Kenny to go I'm afraid, has let the team down once too often. Three new signings required to get things back on track.
dump that clutch
Blinkered Bjerre, what a star. First he rides like an absolute junior, then he gates and goes and bulks his team-mate at every opportunity on the Tac ride, then how can a rider enters the first turn in front and come out last is beyond me. The guy is a liability and I can see DW lining up at KL. RS (get well soon), KB & NP will be the riders to go if KL want to have a chance of league success this season.
foreverblue
Maybe Im falling out of love with the sport but I found it boring last night, sat in a pub watching it with a host of newbies and they thought it was boring and follow the leader. Follow the leader!! there was plenty of passing last night, didn't you see Kyle Newman in heat 2, breathtaking stuff.

Crump99
Play off Kenny is now close to unenemployable in the EL. Maybe that's the idea and he's not interested anymore. Now close? That's been a red card quote at Peterborough since 2008. Why doesn't Middleditch have a Readypower patch amongst his numerous sponsor logos? Or did I just miss it? That's not a dig at Rick & Julie btw. I wish they were still running the show at the EoES but Readypower Pirates will always stick in the throat! moxey63
What's that got to do with it? My guess would be because Bjerre was an idiot. He had nothing to lose by letting Harris past. He'd have got a bonus point. Why? Because they are on the same team. Well, they are today anyway. Guest riders, I don't like, but there is no other option. They have been used since I started watching, so there's nothing to compare them against. On the other hand, any happening that makes the sport appear silly... like last night's Billy Smart's Circus race involving Bjerre and Harris... shouldn't be encouraged. My last word on the subject, is anything that makes speedway look silly shouldn't be involved in a sport that's fighting for its credibility. The GD, in my view, and last night was a clear one, makes speedway look like All-In Wrestling... and that bloke with the big mouth stood near Kelv and Nige, he may have crossed over from watching Barry Hearn's darts, a sport more suited to such rules. The bloke certainly seemed to have downed a few beforehand. I want speedway to be a serious sport. I stopped treating it as one... at about the time the GD was introduced. I know riders have always allowed a team mate cross the line in front, called team riding, but there is something silly about the GD way of doing this. Bjerre was expected to shut off to let Bomber through right at the death. By not doing so, it questions who has got the finger on the pulse - manager, riders. In a sport that is crying out for its team ethics, last night's GD questions a rider that doesn't follow instructions by the club that pays his wages when a guest rider... a guest rider... is going all-out in a race to score double points for that team. Last night signifies a lot with what's wrong with speedway. It is supposedly a team sport, but full of individuals.
Bostonian
Enjoyed last night's meeting. Strange what a decent crowd and some sun does for our enjoyment. Some good racing at times, but most people seem to enjoy it more when there's a good crowd and atmosphere. Its a no brainer to me for promotors when sky are in town to do what Swindon and Poole have done. Poole get a lot of flack, but over the past week they've conducted themselves very professioally and they can only be applauded for that (no matter how much some people seem to hate them!). Monday's fiasco they just went about their busy quietly and got on with it, no moans about the track or any disputes over anything. And last night, a very professional job infront of the sky camera's. You can tell the team spirit is their and all the riders are pulling in the same direction. Like Pearson said, they are now the team to beat. Guest riders, I don't like, but there is no other option. They have been used since I started watching, so there's nothing to compare them against. foreverblue
Pleasing to see a good crowd last night, maybe encouraged by the good weather and reduced admission. If a team re-declares or replaces on a like for like basis, if a rider was replaced now would the averages for june 1st be used or the up to date averages used up to june 3rd.used. Crump99
not the only thing that sticks in your throat so I hear! You never did hear too well though. Most people have a brain to stop the sound going straight in one ear and then out of the other; that also helps them to think about what they are saying and not continually post tripe I thought that Pearson said that they'd heavily promoted the meeting and given some discounted admission (as I see fb has said) so naturally it was a good crowd as I keep reading? DC2
Darcy was given the perfect opportunity there to say the right things, Nigel almost fed him the lines yet he said nothing in the way of an apology. Kelvin then went on to put words in Wards mouth making up that he was sorry for his actions. Spot on. He had the chance to be humble but instead told us how it had benefitted him! No expression of remorse or apology. He just didn't seem to get it. Fantastic talent on a bike but somewhere between arrogant and thick as a person.
TheReturn
Poole fans take a bow, never seen or heard a crowd applaud the away team in the way they did, also when Robert Lambert limped off to the changing room before heat 14 they burst into spontaneous applause. Smashing to see and hear. Makes a change from them cheering when an opposition rider falls off, something they did a lot when on Sky last season. I think it said it all when Kelvin had to stifle a laugh when Nigel asked him for his thoughts. I think that says more about you than Kelvin. I don't think Kelvin was trying to stifle a laugh. I respect anyone (male or female) for giving anything a go, fair play to them whatever their ability. After all, it's easy to sit behind a keyboard and be critical, takes guts to get up and give it a go.
pugwash
Well she has my full admiration for giving it a go, hope she gets some rides while she's over here, no pun intended. Good luck to her. If she don't get any rides I've got some ironing needs doing.

TheReturn
I think that was very much a minority. Loud enough to come across through the TV though and it was not just once, it always seemed to happen a lot when Sky are at Poole.
SteveLyric2
I'm far from Pooles greatest fan!!! But last night I couldn't fault anything about either the Poole team or the organisation there. The fans, some much maligned on her lol, were very generous in their applause for Lynn and appreciative of thei efforts. The fans where we stood were friendly and chatty and didn't gloat at Lynn's drubbing. The burgers weren't great but compare OK with other tracks offerings. The track was dry and became a bit dusty by the end but I didn't see any big ruts, certainly no holes although there was only one passing line round the outside. The prog, centre presenter were excellent, if only Lynn's were half as good! The riders did victory laps, wheelies and acknowledged the crowd.....Lynn take note and copy. Despite the score I enjoyed it. The only negative was the so called skipper, someone get him a dinghy to skipper cos he's no good in a speedway team. Thanks Star Lady, I'll pass on your comments re the programme and presenter. I'm glad you were given a good reception - it does happen in the vast majority of meetings at Poole. We're not all bad, despite what some on here might try to have you believe!!
