Penny Cross
It seems that the Devils have been taken over,by Allen Trump. See here: http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/Plymouth-Devils-gone-Trump-takeover/story-26584557-detail/story.html Shame that both teams will be missing exciting riders, who cant gate, but give their all every race. Holder will be on World U21 duty in Terenzano while Auty is sadly injured. Never the less Scunny have booked Barker to guest. Should keep things lively. Should be a relatively comfortable home win, with Simota, Kurtz and Fisher all able to take R/R for the missing Holder. Interesting to see how Alex Davies goes after the abortive attempt to sign him last season.

It will be interesting to see what sort of reception he gets from the south coast " mafia chief" when they next meet. I am saddened in a way because I have a lot of time for Ashley Taylor. However, you can't have a team that is at the bottom of the league year on year without crowd levels being adversely affected and I have no doubt this is what has led to the slump in attendances - the days of the huge gates on the opening of the track seem light years away. Maybe I am being unrealistically optimistic, but I'd maintain there is a lot of potential in Plymouth Speedway. My first visit of the season to SBA - always one of my favourite tracks - and I suspect that this could be a very entertaining meeting. SCB
Allen Trump eh? Good luck Plymouth! Killed Oxford, tried to kill Coventry. Not exactly a friend of the establishment so probably going to find it tough.

Former devil
Be interesting to see what the attendance will be like for this. Saturday is change over day and alot of holiday makers will be heading home and the FA cup on at 5.30. Weather forecast not particularly promising either. Sure it would have been a bigger attendance if there had been a meeting tonight

lucifer sam
Just to confirm Lewy's post - this meeting was called off first thing this morning. The BSPA website and Scunthorpe website both reflect this. Hopefully Plymouth will update their website soon. All the best Rob
Islander15
Slightly bizarre when Scunny didn't ride last night. I guess it was Saturday so that Lunna could ride as he had an under 21 semi yesterday.
barncooseboy
i guess the rain m,ust soak up through the ground, brightish sunshine at the moment, Ashley Taylor rang me Thursday to DENY that Alan Trump had taken over and said the team manager shouldnt have told the papers what he did. In fact as the ownership[ lies with a limited company no transfer can happen legally without a share holders meeting. No such meeting has happened or even been called, I believe it needs 3 weeks notice.

Plymouth has every chance to be a profitable club if the right people "PROMOTE" the sport to the people of Plymouth.
