Kings Lynn V Poole 28/05/15

I hope your next visit is as good, i expect going to the showground made up for it can't remember going to a bad meeting there, terrific racetrack.

It was thank you ;) I didn't go home disappointed! A friend of mine did say that the racing at Peterborough last night was better than what he saw at Lynn on Thursday night overall though, so that was good enough for me :D

Hope you stay away more often....seemed to improve the racing ;)

Funnily enough, I did think this myself! The last time I sat out of a home meeting by choice ended up being a really good one. Seems to be a pattern occurring here

It has anyways been a mystery to me why they get such poor crowds at the EOES.

Poor promotion of the Panthers within Peterborough itself and the surrounding area maybe? Either way, that's another discussion for a Panthers topic in the PL section, so I'll shut up now before I turn this into a full on Peterborough Panthers discussion

I've long said that the shale used (as well as our long straights) doesn't lend itself to decent racing, as HT says there just isn't an outside line to speak of any more and hasn't been for a long while. If it's the case that stocks rule the roost then that's just how it is, the money they generate keeps the stadium and therefore the speedway going so we just have to put up with it. Or not go I suppose!

Cannot argue with that! Stocks/bangers are more popular than speedway as well we all know. They tend to draw in the bigger crowds so therefore generate more revenue.

I would say the racing at peterborough is generally better than kings lynn, the swc should be at peterborough in my opinion, great track, good facilities.

Ah. 2009 at Peterborough. That was a great SWC :D The drunken Pole running on the track to man hug Tomas Gollob and I think there was a streaker too? More than likely another drunken Pole perhaps, but can't be certain. Was so long ago! I definitely remember the bloke running out to get to Gollob anyway, but not 100% sure that there was a streaker actually, but sometimes seems to make me think there was... It all just added to the entertainment on the night. But yeah, I think it should return there but it won't happen after the National Speedway Stadium is built. I imagine the SWC will go there and Lynn may not stand much of a chance in holding it anymore.
