SCB
Do you really think it was a poor show from Poole? They collected a point - which is more than Watt managed. It really was. Did anyone predict a Kings Lynn win tonight? Watt should have score 4 or 5 tonight just beating Masters and Porsing. you and the other Swindon fans are saying Coventry blew it with Kylmo scoring 000 well Poole must have done with Watt scoring 000! Vincent Vega
Sounds like Poole choked tonight especialy DW. Bet Shovvy is gutted and moaning all the way back to his Dorset mansion!
markyb
Amazing that a team's number one can be outdone by a second string (ok it is Holder !) by 17 points shows comical and pathetic the sport is becoming. Why is this "sport" overseen by blokes who should be spending time in their allotments and going home to pipe, slippers and a mug of Horlicks in the evening. IMO ( but that has been shot to shreds by various on the forum ) time for a total revamp of BRITISH speedway. Needs for a total change with people who care - the likes of Rossiter, Morton and xxxxx spring to mind as ALL being part of a set-up to take the sport further forwards. Polish League speedway appears to be imploding within itself, Swedish speedway on a Tuesday seems to be just "handy" - British speedway has an opportunity to re-invent itself with the right assistance. I say British, as I wholly impressed with the set-up at Glasgow - those guys deserve success from what they are even attempting to do. 12 months ago I was suggesting speedway in the UK was dying - now not so sure if put in the right hands. happy days. (Time to get off this soap-box as getting very dizzy now) Edit - please read Rob Lyon in place of xxxxxxx above - I just one of the older community who has "moments" -and forgot his name midstream although not yet quote into Horlicks, Complan or incontinence pads ! Pirates Of Poole
I would have happily taken a point after heat 7 tonight! But we should have taken advantage of KL injury issues and didn't, some of the riders need to take a good long look at themselves as this was by far unacceptable from certain areas of the team. Well done to KL who put up a great fight with all the team scoring, great victory. Edited May 28, 2015 by Pirates Of Poole

tellboy
Imagine going to speedway for the first time to KL. Supposed to start at 7.30 - starts after 8. 4 heats then another sun break. 8.45 now and only 4 heats run. Why would anyone return with the total shambles of presentation? Better tell the riders that.Nothing to do with the presentation/promotion.
Halifaxtiger
What are King's Lynn going to do during SWC as not sure if it can keep being delayed due to the sun. Good question. I wonder if the sun will be different because its a SWC meeting and on the television. I can't believe they're having an interval! Precisely my words when it was announced. I gather the riders from both teams are doing a collection for Rory, so in this instance it's forgive able No, its not. The collection could have been held either before the meeting started as there was a delay then or after heat 4 when racing stopped. It didn't have to be the riders who came round, either. The thing is week after week we have fans saying that one of speedways biggest turn offs are unnecessary delays and week after week we see their wishes being ignored. Its simply not good enough. Rant over, this was a decent meeting made all the more entertaining by the close score. Masters did the Stars proud, Lambert was hugely impressive but King's Lynn's match winner for me was Morris - good to see him getting the points. Holder was imperious, Janowski just behind and Watt...........least said.
Christopher Bcmma Cook
I agree Speedway must re-invent itself..... I have been working on a plan whilst say at work in the office lol I like my own ideas obviously.... For Speedway to really take off, It must have a team based in London.... must be a site or something that be done in connection with the Olympic Park! It would be great to have a team based in Belfast also and an "invitational" entry into British Speedway for a team in Dublin.... yes its pie in the sky talk, but..... Halifaxtiger
Better tell the riders that.Nothing to do with the presentation/promotion. The totally unnecessary interval - after delays approaching an hour - most certainly is down to the promotion. The sun delay was - to a degree - understandable. The interval most certainly was not. mdmc82
It's good to see Ashley Morris and Porsing back in the points tonight 👍🏻 Also good to see Holder riding with more confidence. Can anybody remember how Masters usually is at Brandon? 😉 Edited May 28, 2015 by mdmc82
Christopher Bcmma Cook
Will never happen. And don't I agree with you 100%, Speedway in the Capital is a must.... I wonder if a GP could be held at the Olympic Stadium in the future?

Agree didn't need the interval, but sun delays down to riders you heard a rider say it was dangerous, cant remember who it was now. It's good to see Ashley Morris and Porsing back in the points tonight Also good to see Holder riding with more confidence. Can anybody remember how Masters usually is at Brandon? Personally didn't think Porsing was that good again,6pts from 15 at second string at home.Thats a 4.8 average at home simply not good enough.Plus he nearly lost us the match in ht 14 not good enough with his first turns.
mickthemuppet
With the results this week it seems that Coventry are a far superior team than Poole yet the Bookmakers make Poole slight favourutes
foreverblue
Despite what some have said there was little wrong with this meeting that was avoidable except the interval which was short anyway. I thought the presentation was excellent with i believe it was darren fletcher who is always good. Some decent races with a fair bit of passing unfortunately mainly by the stars! Holder was superb definately back to form, Janowski too bar the last race . Dak North was good at the end and Gomolski tried hard and was on the pace generally which cant be said of Watt or Starke, as i said before the season started Watt is going downhill fast. I will never rubbish Sam Masters again he was excellent as was most of the stars. With the results this week it seems that Coventry are a far superior team than Poole yet the Bookmakers make Poole slight favourutesNever judge a Poole team in may, judge us in september.

kelvinht
Where did that come from! Especially with Puk unable to gate for a toffee. Expected those Pirates to walk off with all the points. Good show from Sam stepping in for Rooboy. Much improvement from Ashley, was a shame he had to be pulled from one race for the greater good of the team. Keep it up! Still not convinced with Porsing. Getting well p1ssed off with this sun break lark. How come it never used to be an issue until the last season or two?
Star Fever
Wow I was so wrong about the outcome of this meeting! Absolutely awesome display from the Stars tonight...our skipper would have been proud Much improved showings from Niklas and Ashley..... a great comeback for Lewis and of course some amazing stuff from Robert gave Lynn a totally unexpected (by me anyway!)12 point lead after 7 heats! Poole immediately hit back with a TR but even that was pegged to 3-6 only. Unfortunately for Lynn though the Pirates never threw in the towel and battled back to gain a deserved away point, their 5-1 over NKI and Rob in heat 11 doing the most damage...:/ A Thoroughly enjoyable meeting however and very satisfying to get the 3 points after all the bad news this week well done all you Stars Edited May 28, 2015 by Star Fever
Gemini
I thought speedway was supposed to be a summer sport? If that's the case why do KL keep having sun delays - sort it out For Gawd sake! Perhaps I'm getting less patient in my old age but I wouldn't go to Kings Lynn again after my visit a few weeks ago as I can't be doing with all these delays. I don't know how the Stars fans put up with it.
