Sings4Speedway
Just wondering is Eryk Borczuch British?
*JJ
Just wondering is Eryk Borczuch British? He told me that he was born in Poland but he seems to live in this country now. There seems to be far too many NL riders in these two teams ...
Sings4Speedway
I thought the MDL was for Brits only? However if he has a British passport...... 2 x NL riders on one side and one on the other. One of the two on a 3.00 ave and all under 5.00 so within the rules as far as I remember.
John Leslie
Just wondering is Eryk Borczuch British? Any info on this one? Seems a very odd name for a Brit. If, as has been suggested, he was born in Poland and therefore not eligible for the junior leagues, what would be the implications if he caused an accident? Would the riders still be insured if injured by an illegal rider?
cjd
Riders in the mdl unless they have their own policy are not insured
SCB
It strikes me as morally wrong if nothing else to use non-Brits in the MDL.
John Leslie
It strikes me as morally wrong if nothing else to use non-Brits in the MDL. Morals are irrelevant. Rule 21.3.2 says they have to be UK passport holders only. So if the lad is a Pole he rode illegally and the match should be forfeited.
SCB
It would be odd for a Pole to take out a British passport too - there nothing to be gained from it other than being allowed to ride MDL lol
