THE DEAN MACHINE
change of engine manufacturer tonight for a certain gtr rider, whats gone on there then. don't know but that will be a real blow to GTR if he has dumped them
Lord Skid
Must be serious, as normally the GTR publicity machine defends the engine to the hilt.

Lord Skid
Perhaps the lady from GTR will come on here and explain, as she is always quick to jump to Fast Freddies defence, or should we say, not so Fast Freddie and GTR's defence. IronScorpion
Not just Polish league but British league, also taken from BSPA website http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.32960 looking at picture & numbers on bikes, this was taken from heat 1. GTR clearly shown on bike covers with a GM engine in chassis.

CS18
So, Freddie changed the engine in his bike from GTR to GM. No big deal. The reasons could be many. Maybe one of his GMs was more suited to the track, or the reason could be technical, financial, marketing or an agreement with someone we have no knowledge about. Almost everybody changed from JAWA to GM a few years back, but there was not so much noise made about that.

SCB
How many GM's won races and Titles? TBF, the GTR was never about winning titles. It was meant to be a low maintenance, cheap to run league machine.
Lord Skid
So, the BSPA has invested heavily in the GTR, it's not competitive against a GM, so where do you use it, apart from keeping a door open. There are plenty of riders using them and it still has plenty of benefits over a GM. Even Freddie Lindgren says that he's not necessarily finished with them yet, when you consider his form in the early GP rounds, that's hardly surprising. OveFundinFan
I think there is lot in the confidence factor when choosing an engine. Sure the engine has to be competitive in the first place, but if it performs then the confidence factor inside takes you to a higher level. Thats where Freddie was at the beginning of the season, on a high. Then came the injury and his form slipped due to carrying that injury, and he didnt get back to the high again till he changed his engine for the GP last Saturday. Now he is back on a high again, confidence off the scale and riding extremely well.
Lord Skid
Any chance of letting us know who the 'plenty' of riders using them are.?
IronScorpion
It was mentioned in the GP that riders are, also, changing to differently tuned engines. The GM tuned hotbed of PJR, Ash-Tec, Fleming Graversen & another(might have been Andersen?)

Byker Biker
Open your eyes! Chris Louis had 6 of them ! The concept is brilliant but the implementation and the universal distrust of all things BSPA hasn't really given it a prayer regardless of the benefit. Gerhard has geared up to produce many, many more than have been ordered, clearly the slow take up is gonna leave some red faces at Rugby and Gerhard is gonna need to pay his bills. Hmmmmm
Lord Skid
The marriage is on the rocks, so Louis had 6, what does that prove, could mean that 6 people wished they'd saved their money.
