Dave Jones
you are/were a rider then I take it . and never objected to paying 3 times as much as something is worth for something that has no purpose . now explain to me the benefit of a dirt deflector and then show me any example of those benefits . shale still flies over the fence and advertisng banners , riders still get filled in and meetings still get rained off because the track is unsafe . you show me an example of something worthwhile and I'll show you an example of the harm they have caused , Oh by the way can you explain why after exhaustive testing before product placement , air fences are no longer used on the straights , then post something about the speedway mafia , and see what happens . then you'll understand One of them is already "on the case" see the "like" on post 419. Agree 100%. Furthermore, they have reduced safety by causing accidents due to lengthening the bikes. How many times do we hear "he just caught him with his dirt deflector"?

Most dirt reflectors seem to be fitted badly, with the flap not being the regulation distance from the track.. hence not as effective as they could be..

We never had Dirt deflectors years ago and it was never a problem. Another money making scheme from the bigwigs..

Machine examiners have the equipment to check they are fitted correctly , makes no difference they don't do anything anyway . other than keep someones bank balance healthy
Lord Skid
Manufacture and Spares Dealers love them, most riders either soften or cut through the rubber ring,so they just bounce up and down, so the deflector doesn't affect the bikes handling or performance. My boy Polished one of his to mirror , the secret police tried to sieze it ,saying as they could not see the actual colour and pattern of the cast it was most likely a fake and would, according to Mafia rules have to be seized . my boy said continue with that suggestion of what you will do with £200 of my hard earned , and you'll be able to tell Briggs what his dirt deflectors taste like

I could just use the Neil Evitts design , simple effective cheap , and rejected by the Scb in favour of the Briggs one which Sam Ermolenko worked tirelessly to rid speedway of . having had his original money spinner rejected because it was downright dangerous wasn't going to stop Briggs though , with the backing of his chums he replaced his original pension plan with a new ,updated and even more expensive version , which of course was instantly ratified by the SCB as another pension scheme winner , at the time of course Dirt Deflectors were a British Leagues only evil and not until Sweden .Denmark and Poland adopted the idea was there any need to break the monopoly and allow a jawa version to be sanctioned ,,

Brian Andersen for instance , but i sometimes wonder if the old addidge you can drag a horse to water but you cant make it drink applies to Chris ..

Lindgren is taking points off the Poles at the moment, Jarek will ride to stop that I reckon.
