Good to see the usual speedway dinosaura getting out in support of the club. Whatever way you want to look at it, if you sign a 9pt ave rider you expect him to do the business and be scoring to that ave, that means winning the big races for the team. Barkers current ave doesnt lie, the bloke just hasnt done what he was signed to do. I realise its hard for some of the nuggets on here to see that but thats a fact that cant be argued with. Whether he passed Adam Roynon or not, that makes no odds. You look at the job Cook does for Edinburgh, signed as a top man and he delivers, as does Masters, King, Josh G, the list could go on.

I think its machinery related, when riding for Plymouth Barker was doing Poland Sweden and Coventry.

Berwick and the odd guest meeting seems to be the only domestic meetings he is doing.

Barker was signed to be a big hitting number one and I don't think anyone can deny he hasn't hit the big scores we expected him to.

He has been outperformed by TJ, Doolan and Claus all season and credit to them for riding as well as they have been.

I do think a lot of Bens problems are machinery related as every time I watch him he seems to be giving it his all.

Nobody is being particularly negative we have the makings of a good side here now that we have Richard Hall.

Ben just needs to try and sort out his mechanical gremlins and try to get back to where he was two or three seasons ago as we are going to need him when the likes of Masters, Cook, King and Grajczonek come to town.

Was the track very slick at the end of the meeting?

Yes, very dry and dusty, worst I've seen it in ages?

Meeting took too long to complete, track just dried out too quickly in the conditions, damping down barely lasted a couple of races or three especially towards the end?

cheers, was looking at race times and thought that.

It's a strange phenomena, you would think a dry track would be better for quick times, racing looked plenty fast enough to my eye just doesn't show up that way on the clock?

would edinburgh fans accept craig cook riding at 7.5? i await your reply topsoil

but the team are doing well considering

They would accept it if their team was winning. All about the team. You pick up 3 points, who cares how the points are made up.

These will be the dinosaurs and nuggets who actually attend the meetings? Like you've admitted yourself, you don't go near the place these days.

Don't think so, the drier the track the less grip there is, a bit like being on a beach the wheels can be all over the place. By light watering a dry track it binds the shale giving more grip and faster signs. Also if you hsave any deep areas of shale, it has a tendancy to kill the power of the engine.

And? Does that mean I'm not entitled to an opinion?

'

So Wolverhampton fans were quite content with Tai Woffinden averaging 7.5 points? Because they were winning they really didn't mind that Tai's average dropped 2 points.

Will Barker do the business against riders of his initial average consistently?

Only Berwick forum fans could still be moaning after two home wins, an away draw and a cup aggregate win in just over a week. And i find it hilarious that certain fans on here openly admit that they will not go to meetings but still moan about the team on here.

Forget that TJ, Claus and Richard hall are all riding really well at the moment, let's focus on Ben not riding to his average.

More so given Barker has already won plenty of big races for Berwick. His average has dropped because he returned from injury to early which affected his weekend, had a night when he was plagued with bike problems and keeps falling off when he is leading races.

His last 3 home scores are paid 13, paid 17 and paid 8 from 4 a meeting when he fell while leading

Oliver Allen averaged 9.77 on his last couple of visits, less than Barker & Stead, but still pretty decent Edited by Shads

So after romping through 5 pages of berwick lot going on about their team, lets get back to the actual thread  . After losing Hansen the Comets were up against it with 3 reserves plus r/r and two who couldn't even beat young Liam Carr a conference league rider. The Comets would have held the win had it not been for him withdrawing .So looks like they are waiting for Rusty to come back in place of Wethers lets bloody hope he comes back well then, Nicky barrett has lost the plot totally!!! Surely to christ theres another 3.47 reserve that will give it a go more than him absolute garbage yesterday, and the meeting before oh and the one before that. Luckily we've only had a couple of PL meetings and with two week breathing space lets hope something happens rapidly you can't expect Rusty to come back and carry on where he was before his injury , because the way its going and the general fans feel about the place its not looking good for Workington speedway, playoffs ...highly unlikely

Nearly forgot, Doolan , you were a :icon_smile_clown: when you rode here but your an even bigger one now, sandwiching riders .... tut tut, then our Kyle Howarth gives you a taste of your own medicine and low and behold off you were crying to the ref :D:nono: dummys are going cheap in £1 shop will have one next time your over for the League :icon_smile_clown:

An explanation, now there's a rare beast!! :D Thank's for that TTP, makes you wonder then why they dont blade the outside line during the meeting, often heard that low rumble of "going nowhere" at the latter end of the meeting!! ;)

From where I was it looked more like he was complaining about Kyle cutting the corner as much as being sandwich filling? ;)
