Wolves V Lakeside Hammers 25/05/15

Recommended Posts

No, I didn't pick him, and not a single member of the crowd picked him. It was purely Neil Vatchers daft idea, and there was a terrible fuss about it among th fans afterwards. Having said that, I am an big fan of Freedie, for years wanted to see him guest for Lakeside and when he did it turned out to be about his worst meeting since he was a junior! I 'd give him another chance though.

Badly worded sorry, by you, I meant Lakeside and you've confirmed the point I was making really!

i.e. Awful decision.

Wolves might as well join the PL seeing as CVS hasn't got the money to try and win the EL.

Pathetic booking L. Bjerre as a guest now that Fast Freddie is riding.

Yea we know.

Not sure you can describe Freddie as a PL rider tho.

I have to admit that before the Christmas period came in 2014 i was hoping Lasse Bjerre would be back in the Wolves team for 2015 but that was as the fifth member of the top five with a double spearhead leading the team. In this position and the form he had last season with the club he could have been a solid second string in this format and unlikely to ever rise to heat leader status.

Here we see him return as the third heat leader in a format that makes better riders like Thorssell, King and Lawson all struggle to score points so to book him as a guest to cover the #3 position is strange as R/R would have seen extra rides for PK, Ricky, JT and Lewis which should be good for 6-8 points at Monmore but not away.

But with the news on Freddie being unsure and the weakness of the make shift Lakeside team and their poor record away, you can see why this guest booking was made with so many teams already riding in the EL and PL plus at least Lasse has had some great rides for us beating very good riders.

It will make Wolves weaker than R/R and hopefully Freddie is at least 90 percent fit we should have enough to win easily still and even if the in form return of AJ it should be a 50-40 win at least and another three points but as good a start as we have made, averages are dropping and if we are to challenge we really need to get more strength in away meetings and keep Ricky as a second string.

@Lakesidelive: BREAKING: Andreas Jonsson misses tonights Wolverhampton meeting - cant believe the run of poor luck the club are having at the moment

Didn't he score 9 and make the Semi final on Saturday in the SGP?

He pulled out of his Polish meeting yesterday after two rides, scoring 1and 0.

Surely for the sake of the paying fans this meeting should be postponed. Up to the Wolves promotion of course but I can't see many punters forking out £18 .

He is riding as 2nd heat leader TNT.

So Lindgren would have been able to take a RR also.

It's immaterial now tbh as Lakeside have such a poor team it will be a walkover.

Be interesting to see who Lakeside can get as a guest with only Swindon and Belle Vue not riding and Scott Nicholls already booked up to ride for Coventry ......... maybe they could book Matej Zagar (unlikely) ..... Troy Batchelor (likely) ....... or simply go with R/R and let Jacobsen, Kennett, Ostergaard and Bech have extra rides !!

Change my view to a 54-36 win and Lasse to actually score well against a virtual Premier League outfit

Was a week ahead of myself as PK moves to second heat leader on June 1st

So, Bank Holiday Monday, and the chance of getting a handful of first-timers or relative newbies through the gate.

And what are they going to get served up with?

An utter farce of a speedway meeting. Paying 18 quid for the privilege.

As a Lakeside Supporter may I offer Wolves fans my sincere apologies for the debacle of a team we are putting out tonight. Because, rest assured, nobody else will.

Andreas Jonsson hang your head in shame.

If him and Magics actions the last week are indicative of the top stars you can stick them! We need more Rory Schlein and Chris Harris' who'd ride EL every day of the week if they could.

Honestly AJ, do one from the elite league, your a complete waste of space, I was excited to see AJ back this season thinking he might of changes but alas he hasn't! Agree with scb above, we need more of the committed types, not the I've damaged a nail I'll see you next year boys type!

The prophet of doom.

I can read AJ like a book. And not a very good book.

Many said he wouldn't turn up and it's proven correct.

About as predictable as Magic racing at Belle Vue.

Some of these so called stars are extracting the urine out of the EL.

Poor Lakeside R/R for AJ and 2 guests tonight?

Kus guests for AJ. The latter has clearly suffered a reaction to his GP efforts, 1 from 2 rides in Poland indicates he is far from fully recovered from his knee injury!

OMG! Kus, Kennett, Ostergaard, Jakobsen, Boxall, Ellis and a out of form MBJ.

My prediction 60-30 if lucky.

Four of those will already have ridden one meeting before they get to MG, They have a fairly tight time limit and are probably not going to be there much before the start, hardly the best preparation. It seems incredible the fixture was ever approved in the first place, even more so that it is still going ahead.
