If Freddie isn't back then it could be tough esp with limited guests available with only Belle Vue & Swindon not riding. However Lakeside are not known for their away form.

Very very strange choice... :o

Choices are limited as we are finding ourselves in having to seek a guest replacement for Richard Lawson who will be riding for his parent club Glasgow. In addition to three EL matches, there are five PL fixtures on Monday and, although Rye House v Redcar is a 2pm start, both promotions are having to hope Bjerre, Kennett and Boxall (if fit) are not delayed on route.

Kim Nilsson will also miss this meeting. And I'd be surprised if AJ turns up.

I don't know about AJ. He seemed OK in last week's GP and the knee wasn't put to the test on Tuesday as the meeting at Smerderna (v Rospiggarna) was rained off. Kim Nilsson is riding in Abensberg (SGP Qualifier - Round 4).

Sounds like a total shambles there is going to be lots of programme changes.

Bank holidays should be prime targets for good crowds, with riders missing and no suitable or adequate replacements it's yet another own goal for the sport.

Can't see why AJ would be missing?

Can Fred make a comeback for this? Do the rules allow it under the 7 day rule?

Freddie is back according to his Facebook page. He had a rib injury not concussion. Really pleased about that.

Which makes the booking of Lasse Bjerre utterly ridiculous.

He'll be taking rides that FOUR better riders than him could take.

Yep, and you picked him for Heat 15! :)

The 'you' refers to our infamous Team Manager - I don't think anybody in the crowd would have picked him!

No, I didn't pick him, and not a single member of the crowd picked him. It was purely Neil Vatchers daft idea, and there was a terrible fuss about it among th fans afterwards. Having said that, I am an big fan of Freedie, for years wanted to see him guest for Lakeside and when he did it turned out to be about his worst meeting since he was a junior! I 'd give him another chance though.
