Ipswich Witches Vs Berwick Bandits Koc 2nd Leg

Recommended Posts

Where do we start then ?

Well done to Berwick is a good a place as any .

A combination of factors contributed to the overall defeat tonight .

It was an eventful evening to say the least .

1, some pretty poor refereeing decisions early on for the exclusions of Gino and Rohan !

2, yet again the total inability to ride our own track !

3, some very inept performance's from a few of the Witches .

4, underestimating the opposition ?

5, the total incompetence of the team manager !

What on earth possessed him to leave Nielsen in heat 14 beggars belief , Hawkins had looked pretty good in his previous ride , at least attacking the track while Nielsen had binned it in his and looked uncomfortable all night , and what happens he bins in on the same bend again . Unbelievable .

Some serious questions need to be asked as to what the hell is going on ???

I was gonna say by this time tomorrow our season could be effectively over but that might be a little premature , but only just !

Maybe Bandits4eva will change her footer to this years team now (or see how we get on against the Rockets).:drink:

Constantly on mobile now so don't see my signature ...

Getting past the Rockets should be a breeze now we're done disposing of Ipswich

Firstly, well done to Berwick. But why is Bob producing a track that certain riders don't like? If he persists with this type of track, then we should do what Lakeside do and have a junior meeting beforehand. After 6/7 heats it's perfectly ok, and only Rohan continued to go into the bends like a novice. Once the track settled down there was passing on the inside and the outside, I admit if it started like that it would slicken off towards the end, but at least our lot should have built up a lead by then.

You are not going to change the mentality of certain riders, so give them a track that they want, not what you want Bob.

Apologies to Bob if he'd been instructed to do this, but as we talked about tonight, the track is at it's best when it's rained all day, and he hasn't been able to do his "magic".

I would just add to the following to your list. Why is RR #4 and not #2. Danny is the only rider who is ineligible to take one of Cameron's rides so I cannot see the logic of pairing it with a rider who can and, by doing so, narrows the choice if Nico can only appear in heat 14.

Apparently Rohan didn't have bike problems in the last race, he got arm pump. I think everything that could go wrong did and that just summed up the whole meeting. Berwick got the rub of the green and good luck to them. Can't believe Ritchie wasn't put in heat 14 after Stefan binned it big time in his previous race and Ritchie had a good ride in heat 12. Stefan falling whilst under no pressure at all probably cost us the match.

I don't think everything is harmonious in the Witches camp and I can only see us exiting the league cup after tomorrows meeting as I can't see us beating Plymouth. Think some changes are required at the lower end of the team as we don't seem as potent at reserve anymore and we have a lot of catching up to do in the league seeing we are rock bottom of that at the moment.

This is probably Berwick'so best result of the season so, as not to many people gave them much of a shout. After seeing this result it must be hoped we can get a few more through the gate of a Saturday night. As for Ipswich, they have a good looking team on paper but for some reason are getting some poor results on track.

I had to look up "Arm pump" .

Seriously ?

Did he quote this somewhere or am I missing something ? And where the he'll did that suddenly spring from ?

There's still some serious underlying problems that need to be sorted out on and off that track and we definitely need to start getting the rub of the green with a few favourable refereeing decisions !

On the ref decisions - Aside from Gino in heat 1 I thought all the others were the right call. The Rohan one was closer to 50/50 perhaps but still right IMO.

I know nothing of 'arm pump' - is it purely a physical reaction or can there be a stress/pressure related ekement too??

Only heard of it once before think it was the Moto GP rider got it but here is what i found

What is it?

Arm pump is a clinical condition in which an individual develops intermittent marked pain in the forearms after a period of exercise or exertion. The pain is thought to arise due to swelling of the muscles of the forearm that affects the blood flow to these muscle and causes the oxygen levels to drop.

Who gets it?

Arm pump typically affects younger adults, mainly men. It is most commonly associated with motor sports such as motocross and road racing, but other activities such as paddling, weight lifting and mountaineering can induce this condition. It is thought that riders participating in motocross and road racing are particularly affected due to the combination of vibration, forced grip and repeated wrist movements to control the throttle. The symptoms typically start approximately 7 minutes in to the race.

How do I know if I have it?

This is not a common condition but it should be considered in an individual who develops marked forearm pain after a period of exertion that settles spontaneously after a period of rest (ranging from 12 minutes to 24 hours). The forearm will typically feel hard and tight while the pain is present. Numbness in the hand, or cramping of the muscles of the forearm, weakness or clumsiness may occur.

ARM PUMP. no its not what you think. guys in motocross get it after doing about 10/15 minutes of racing. its hard to hang onto the bars and you lose control of whatever you are doing !

with regards to real deal rohan getting it after 4 minutes of racing, that 60 seconds a lap ! he is either unfit or he should go to sleep when he is in bed. what a silly statement to come out with.

up the bandits.

Ok only a small amount of lady luck but your boys deserved this last night . Very good effort from your side they never gave up and never gave the witches an easy ride .

Well done Bandits you wanted it more good luck in the next round

The above makes alot of sense ok this was Gino's 1st match back last night maybe that was the reason for RR#4 but after the performance its got to switch to RR#2 and put Gino at 4 to partner Covatti makes so much more sense or can't the management see it .

Anyone know what the rider order is for tonight is it declared or can you change it ?
