Bash
I had to look up "Arm pump" . Seriously ? Did he quote this somewhere or am I missing something ? And where the he'll did that suddenly spring from ? They had a team meeting in the dressing room after the match and that is what I was told was the reason for Rohan slowing in the last race. TBH it looked like he was struggling all night as he seemed to get slower in all of his races after a couple of laps.

stu219
Good entertainment last night but ultimately Ipswich again fell short. Track prep is definitely not to the home riders liking and has to be sorted. Way to much grip for the quality of riders racing in the premier league. Put grand prix riders out there and they would love it bit I'm afraid Ipswich are not a team or grand prix stars! I see that the team manager wasn't happy but he should look at himself as well. Shocking decision not to put Richie in heat 14 after his effort in his previous race. Not his First mistake either. Full marks to Danny and Nick though. Nico seems to run different gearing as he seems to he revving a lot more and as as result has a far easier ride. He and Danny made the track look easy. BRITISHSPEEDPOWER
Ive had arm pump when downhill mountain biking! It can get you when you least expect it, ive had it out of the blue a few times. No option but to stop riding for 10 mins, just cant hang on any longer, cant feel your hands and feels like arms are made of metal, it is awful and very painful, but quite suprising for a pro speedway rider to suffer it. tocha
The above makes alot of sense ok this was Gino's 1st match back last night maybe that was the reason for RR#4 but after the performance its got to switch to RR#2 and put Gino at 4 to partner Covatti makes so much more sense or can't the management see it . Anyone know what the rider order is for tonight is it declared or can you change it ? RR#4 on main website. As for last night, I thought the track was as awful as it was last BH Monday yet it hasn't been in that condition before. Even earlier this season at the two other fixtures I've been to, Billy Sanders and v Rye House it resembled the racing strip reminiscent of previous seasons admittedly, often little by way of passing and races strung out but, at least, rideable. Pob
Ipswich team manager, Phil Hilton, was understandably frustrated at his team's failure to progress through to the next round: "I don't know what to say, we did all the hard work at Berwick and it should have been relatively straight forward to pull back a four point deficit and finish ahead on aggregate. We had a very poor start tonight and throughout the meeting there were too many falls & mistakes, which just gifted points to Berwick. They had their own problems but generally attacked the track much better than us. This failure to adapt to our own track early on needs sorting out and maybe we need to look at team changes as well!" sparkafag
I really like this Berwick team, I think they are going to cause a few teams problems. I wasn’t there but even at this early stage of his career Jorgensen in heat 14 typifies him, even on a bad night he can pop out the start and win a big race. It is good having a rider who is strong from the gate for a change rather than guys chasing exhaust comes the later stage of a meeting.

This was on FB Thanks for that. I see he doesn't put any blame on his self for his mistakes, or mention the mistakes that Berwick riders made that gifted us points Edited May 22, 2015 by baldyman
2ndbendbeerhut
This is taken from lovespeedway : Rohan Tungate admits to being ‘totally gutted’ after his costly last place in heat 15 against Berwick at Foxhall Stadium on Thursday night cost his side victory. The Witches put on an abject performance, that included six falls and unable to turn over a four-point deficit from the first leg, while the Borders side simply rode their races with little fuss – led by former Witches skipper Kevin Doolan – they deservedly took the honours. Tungate and his team-mates travel to Plymouth tonight in a League Cup southern group fixture knowing they have to win to make progress in the competition. Lose, and the Witches only have the Premier League title to chase – they are currently bottom of the table. “I’m totally gutted about that last race,” said Tungate. “We should have won the meeting, everyone who was there saw that. But we didn’t and now we must beat Plymouth – as riders we want more meetings. “I wouldn’t have minded that last race if it hadn’t meant so much to the team. I was pleased with the rest of my night. I’ve worked hard on getting new clutch plates and changing things to help me make starts and it came off. “We had a get-together after the meeting and things were said. We know what we have to do at Plymouth, I’m confident there will be a positive reaction.” In a meeting that saw every Witch, apart from Nico Covatti, hit the deck, Ipswich Witches boss Phil Hilton was left dumbfounded. “I can’t explain what happened,” he said. “I can only apologise to our fans because we should have won that meeting easily. “We were falling off and getting excluded. It was like watching Gary Lineker run up to a penalty and trip over as he went to kick the ball. “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.” And nor could most of the Witches fans present. Tipped by many to win the title this season – the Witches have simply not performed as yet this campaign. Injuries have certainly not helped their cause. While last year the team went through the whole season without injury, just two months into this and already Ritchie Hawkins, Gino Manzares and Cameron Heeps have been, or are on, the injured list. But excuses won’t wash with the paying Foxhall public. Tungate and his team-mates need to walk the walk – and quickly. So .... 1. No mention of Tungate's bike issues in heat 15, maybe the "armpump" rumour is true. But good job he lost 3rd as the fans would have had to put up with a replay! 2. Hilton is blaming the riders, not himself! For the third time this season he has not put a replacement rider in a heat. Hawkins a few weeks back mentioned the same thing about he was confused that he was not given heat 14 at Newcastle. 3. The track all be it the same shape, has been different week in week out, and the "lightweight" Witches certainly struggle with the grippy ones. 4. Six fallers last night for the Witches 0 for the Bandits 5. Covatti looked caught out with conditions in heat 3, but then was flying thereafter once changes been made, only rider that seems to be able to do so. 6. Why is Manzares at 2? Going to do nothing for him gaining a 7point ave this year by riding 3 times with King. oh well theres always the league!
Falcon Hammer
Some of the best MotoGP riders have suffered with arm-pump; Danny Pedrosa has just returned after an operation & Casey Stoner had it recently - Definitely nothing to do with fitness, although all are small in stature. Baldyman
I can get arm pump just ridding my road bike hard for 10 minutes, rohan was probably gripping really tightly last night because the track was scaring him.
crescent girl
from Berwick's e-Newsletter this afternoon, reporting on Heat 15..... ..... Rohan Tungate, in his sixth race of the night was visibly tiring, and when Ben blasted under him on the third lap we thought we had grabbed an overall draw -- but wait, Kevin wasn't to be beaten either! Mister D poured everything into an outside blast around his fellow Aussie on the last bend and we were through! An exhausted Rohan Tungate coasted over the line after Kev came past him, giving rise to suggestions of engine failure but be assured, it was a fitness issue, together with the absolute determination of our captain and his little mate not to be beaten.
