Aces51
Nothing there that says he was forced to ride. Says he was committed to ride, just as he was for Poole tomorrow. I have never before known a situation where a rider has ridden in two meetings on consecutive days but declared before the second meeting that he will be unfit to ride in a third meeting the following day. He didn't even wait to see how his knee was on Sunday morning. He somehow knew it was not going to be so bad as to cause him to have to miss the Polish meeting but bad enough to have to miss Belle Vue.
Daniel Smith
Maybe it's just me but I'm guessing and I mean massively guessing, Janowski has done enough to get his average above 8.70 so Poole don't want him travelling to a track he doesn't go well at to save his June average. Janowski will now be out until the return of Darcy Ward

Countershaftcounter
Has MF got a cupboard full of photos of some of the BSPA bigwigs in compromising positions with farmyard animals or something ?? They seem to be unwilling to sanction him on Poole's constant cheating, he must have something over them ?

Janowski will now be out until the return of Darcy Ward His average should still be 8.22 for the month of June as he hasn't rode in any matches since the May averages, and he isn't due to ride any more before the June averages are calculated. As Ward isn't due back until the end of June it will be Janowski's July average that would be important if Poole do want to bring Ward back in for him. HenryW
Janowski isn't injured so it should be a sub 6.00 PL rider in his place. If they use a facility then he is withholding his services and should be banned for 28 days surely? Not really anything that can be done if Janowski has a valid medical certificate stating that he is unfit to race tomorrow.
stevebrum
Nothing there that says he was forced to ride. Says he was committed to ride, just as he was for Poole tomorrow. Absolutely. I take it the Poole fan is basically saying that he doesn't have to be commited to riding for Poole because the can use a better guest at Belle Vue and let hi pick his meeting to suit.If you are fit to ride in a GP AND are fit to ride in Poland then it's clear you are fit to honour your commitments in the EL the following day. Nothing else to say on it. Unless you want to be blind and make excuses for a rider who picks and chooses his meetings. g13webb
Can't see what all the fuss is about: We all know Poole will do whatever they like, believing it to be a winning mentality, when in fact its just blatant cheating..... Tell me? What's the difference between Hans Andersen not riding for (Swindon 2013) and Magic not riding now.???? Swindon had to use a PL 6 pointer, and so should Poole. Anything different is WRONG...... Wrong for the other clubs, Wrong for all the fans, Wrong for Belle Vue, and Wrong for the Sport. ....
Woz01
How can a doctor give a sick note before Janowski riding Sunday? Surely that's grounds to disregard it as Janowski has already broken said sick note?
mikebv
It's a sorry state of affairs isnt it when a rider like Proctor is prevented from riding over here when he is desperate to do so, and a rider who can simply come and ride over here, as and when it pleases, decides not to bother.. And once again those that run the sport will bury their heads in the sand so there will be no action taken against the rider and the 'nonsense' will continue....... "There's nothing to see here, can everyone please move along to the next debacle"..... Edited May 18, 2015 by mikebv
Star Lady
Maybe it's time that the rules were changed so that if an"injured" rider rides anywhere within 3 days of a facility being granted, any points scored by that facility are removed. It wouldn't stop all the rule bending but it might stop some, especially in this case.

It wouldn't stop all the rule bending but it might stop some, especially in this case. That wouldn't be a bad idea. The sad thing is that Poole are the only team that feel the need to always bend the rules. Maybe one year they can play by the rules and win fairly. Credit to the other 7 teams as all their wins come through riding the best they can rather than cheating when they can't. Luckily the forecast heavy rain may put a stop to this today.

bellevueace
No wonder even the hardcore fans are now starting to vote with their feet, the sport really is a joke at EL level.
frigbo
How many EL matches have been between first choice 7's so far this season? - ie no guests or r/r.
mdmc82
How many EL matches have been between first choice 7's so far this season? - ie no guests or r/r. That's due to injuries though, not due to not using a rider because they don't like a track.
chris4gillian
As much as don't like some of the 'strokes' our promoter pulls year on year, has he actually broken any rules?. Matt Ford is the absolute master at stretching rules and using them to his advantage no matter how underhand or unsportsmanlike it appears. Is this cheating or just very clever manipulation? Having said that, getting Bomber sanctioned to ride instead of a 'fit' Magic is a complete mystery...!?!
