Daniel Smith
Great result from the Stars very enjoyable meeting - Much improved performance from Kenneth tonight much more like the form we all no he capable of but have to say the form of Porsing is dissapointing looked very un interested to me - even though we won I'd still like to see team changes Mads for Porsing makes sense to me Mads would turn this team from a good team into a very good team . For me, the meeting was only enjoyable when Lambert was on track. Other than that it was pretty much FTG all night yet again. Surprised Lambert didn't get the nod in heat 15 Edited May 13, 2015 by screamer
New Science
Not too bad a performance from Wolves tonight if I am being honest, I expected worse. What I did expect was Howarth to score 0, and he duly delivered. The Wolves promotion should issue an apology to any travelling away fans for who they have shown zero regard. With RR Wolves would very likely have come away with a pt and may even have sneaked a draw or better. 5 pts from Lindgren, Wells, Karlsson and Thorsell wouldn't have been a lot to ask for a draw. With away fans numbering single figures don't think CVS will lose any sleep !
BWitcher
With away fans numbering single figures don't think CVS will lose any sleep ! That's precisely the sort of attitude that is seeing more and more fans drift away. I only used away fans as an example.. don't for one moment think home fans will be happy that the management doesn't seem in the slightest bit interested in trying to win.
stevebrum
Surprised the Stars didn't win by more, sounds like with RR instead of a guest we could have got something out of this match. Plenty of positives for the team to take away.
Trees
Pretty sure Porsing does care about his form, he had his head in his hands after his last race. Nick then came out after the meeting practicing and his mechanic making a change or two. As did Niels who obviously was having problems tonight as well. Good performances from the rest of the team apart from Ashley, he's finding it hard round Lynn 😕 Good to see Paulco on his Southern Tour, hope you enjoy Ipswich!!!! Star Fever
Well that was an odd meeting....Lynn never in real trouble but certainly not an outstanding performance imo. Thnkfully Robert and Lewis were excellent and probably the main reason the Stars won. Kenneth Bjerre was more like he should be too so that helped! But one or two odd rides from NKI and a nightmare from Niklas meant Lynn never got too far ahead. Luckily we were far enough in front by ht15 though cos Wolves mightve nicked a point at the end with that unexpected 1-5 pretty entertaining meeting tho with several heats of close racing, and good to see Rob and Lewis doing well! kelvinht
Was definitely a strange one with Niels out of sorts a bit. Few races where we got beat up in the first bend. Ash seemed to try hard and I think he was more concerned with Josh Bates clattering into the side of him in his last race, which he tried to do several times. Lambert value for money as usual now. He must get a spot for the WTC surely? Although we lost the last heat 5-1, it was very enjoyable tussle between Rory and Freddie. And why the delay for sun, then starting when the sun was lower and presumably worse? Thought we were in for a very looooong wait tonight. Rather than Buster have a dig at riders and tinted goggles, I'm sure it wouldn't take much to put something (temporary) up behind bends 1/2 when its sunny. Even the electronic scoreboard casts a shadow, so something big and wider should do the job. Think of the advertising space you could sell... The Stars fans must be a patient lot because one visit to Kings Lynn is going to be enough for me this season. I couldn't stand all this hanging around every time the sun is shining. Most fans arrive about 15/20 minutes before a match starts so it's an hour or more before watching a race. It's the same at Leicester, although their sun must be a bit different because there's usually a few races before a break. Like you say, surely they could sort something out that wouldn't cost the earth to block the low sun?

Bagpuss
Wolves would undoubtedly have got something if they'd used R/R, bizarre to use Howarth who as usual was all at sea at Lynn. Several hard first bends but probably three races out of fifteen with genuine passing, hoping for better next week in the British Semi. The two Lynn riders who really struggled are a worry.

Interesting point about Josh Bates because I wasn't impressed with him at the televised Glasgow match when he tried to fight with the rider he had clearly knocked off. Looks like he needs to cool it a bit!

Can only agree, it does seem people are becoming happy with the follow the leader racing so it's just us not overly enjoying it. To me, last night's FTG racing wasn't enjoyable at all. g13webb
As always, enjoyed the speedway night out. I think the final 5-1 gave some, the 10point win, a false belief it was a close meeting. Had Kenneth made the gate it would have been a far bigger margin of defeat. The truth being the result was never in doubt and had the STARS needed to get something from the last heat, then Niels and Lambert would have been involved. The majority of the races were FTG but created some tight battles.... Lambert tonight was awesome. Three times he missed the gate, but each time he came through for impressive wins. Freddie was the only person to beat him and he was made to work really had hard. Rory, KB and Kerr were always dominant , Niels worked hard for little reward, but time is running out for Porsing and Morris. Between their 7 races they came last 6 times and scored a total of 1 point. Its all very well saying they're improving but its points that matters, and they are not producing the goods. I thought Wolves put on a good show. there were some hard first corners and some decent battles. As expected most of their riders scored points, Freddie and Wells being the pick of the bunch. Howarth was a rubbish guest, but whether RR would have won any points I'm not convinced. Obviously it would have re-coupe a few points but I still think it would have been a home win. Trees
Nobody particularly wants to see follow the leader, we were saying how some of the riders don't try different lines to try to make up ground, maybe it is the another day, another dollar mentality? Bagpuss
I think the biggest factor is the lack of a decent wide line, Lynn always used to reward those who were prepared to scrape the boards but doesn't now. Enjoyed the company on the terraces last night, great to catch up with Paulco and speedy17 as well as Trees and the other first bend regulars.
Trees
Nobody tries the white line either. Is it the track or the riders?
semion
I thought the meeting was made by Robert Lambert. Pushed Freddie all the way in his first, then had to muscle his way to the front in each of his next three. Really wanted him to do heat 15 to have another go at Freddie. KB had his gating head on, Rory gave it his all, as you would expect. Lewis after a duffer of a first race came good and should, in my mind, have replaced Porsing in his last outing. On the subject of Porsing how much interest has this lad in riding in the UK, he looked slow all night, we know he a decent rider, but he really has to do better than that. is it equipment or attitude ? As for Ashley, You have to feel sorry for the boy. His confidence must be blown to pieces. I think he needs to be stood down to see if he can get himself together at a lower level. The lad is more than capable of looking after the likes of Josh Bates, but last night he just back off when Bates got near him. I missed Buster's interview, but saw something in the prog notes about a new Revolutionary engine that was tested at Saddlebow recently. Has anyone got for info on this. Like who is making it ? pointsmeanplayoffs
Not a great night again for Porsing, but questioning his commitment for riding in the UK is a little odd especially as the young lad has completely re-located himself to the UK?!? He’s going through a rough patch, but with the majority of the team firing, we are in a fortunate position this early in the season in which we can carry him a bit until he builds his form/confidence back up. Give him, and Morris some time, we are only in May, we are looking good for the playoffs, let’s hold it steady…..
Star Lady
I missed Buster's interview, but saw something in the prog notes about a new Revolutionary engine that was tested at Saddlebow recently. Has anyone got for info on this. Like who is making it ? My Saddlebow Road correspondent (aka daughter) tells me that Buster said the new engine would do 20 Meetings/races without needing anything doing to it. That being so it should reduce costs for the riders considerably. That being so expect an announcement from the powers that be in the next few months that it will not be sanctioned for use unless someone in the clique picks up the rights and the branding It was tested by Robert Lambert and Kelvin Tatum who was reported as being very impressed with it. EDITED to add Just seen on Tatum's twitter that it's a Gerhard GTR if that means anything to anyone.
