History Of British Leagues 1991-2014

Recommended Posts

For any serious fan who loves retracing the sport's history and having a reference guide to call upon, then this book is a must.

The last edition was produced five years ago, so it is perfect timing and a much-needed update.

Loose-leaf, 172 A4 pages, the book lists every team averages during the past quarter of a century and is meant to be a continuation of Peter Oakes' 1965-1990 edition.

Alan Robertson has tried to fill up every page with details that speedway fans need to hand - league tables and results, Cup journeys, Pairs and Fours, as well as the stand-out stories.

If you need details of any major domestic event, don't look any further.

Price £14 and £2 postage.

And while you're there... why not give the new book covering 1984 a try? In the style of the old Daily Mirror yearbooks, the 1984 book includes all British domestic details and tours the world stage to give a comprehensive rundown of what happened in speedway all of 30 years ago.

Containing 130 A4 pages, a lot of work has gone into this, hence the £12 price (£2 postage).

There's bound to be a space on your bookshelf for either one of these.

PM me if you need further details.

Thanks Alan

Do you know, I had even forgotten some of those stories. I am glad you enjoyed/will enjoy the book. Would love to piece one together for the years 1946-64 (I know Peter Morrish did his) that includes similar info - scorers, cup results, snippets - the same format.

There simply ain't enough reference books out there, in my honest opinion.

Thanks for the kind words again, Alan
