dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
The BBC forecasts have continually revised the edge of the rain band further and further south by the hour until this morning. Will it reach us? Could all depend on a little extra wind- and we all know the problems caused by unwanted extra wind!!
Emma T
Oh well if it's off then at least it keeps our losing run to just four meetings in a row until we visit Edinburgh tomorrow night! Glasgow seemed to like the wet stuff at home on TV Tuesday night so if it does go ahead it will be another close result but ending in a home defeat is what I predict tonight. ZODIAK
Crikey have we really lost four in a row!? I haven't been keeping count to be honest! That's really poor from a team as good as ours. And yes, I still believe we have a really good team. Next week is going to be very important. We have two cup ties on Thursday and Friday and we need to progress in both. We all know the holy grail is the League title and the one we're all desperate for, but it's very hard to win with several really strong teams this year especially. That's why we need to progress in both cups because it would still be a good season if we can win any silverware, if it's not exactly the one we want. The problem with the BBC online forecast is that it can't even agree with itself. The hourly summary shows rain from 3 -8pm but the weather map has the rain band no further north than Colchester. Willowman
.... as far north as Ipswich.

Pob
Much more rain than the Rye House call off...still raining now and more on the way. Wasn't the Rye House call off blamed that there was too much water already on the track from rain the days leading up to it ? Ipswich twitter says it on... 2ndbendbeerhut
Never going to get 15 heats in. So why bother? Fans pay for 15 not let's get in 12 and call it off.... Accuweather has a 57% of rain all evening so that's 100% chance I won't bother to leave my house Edited May 14, 2015 by 2ndbendbeerhut

Unless of course the weather is very different 8 miles up the road from where I am, been raining steadily for 3 hours here.
WembleyLion
Initially I had planned to take this in and stay over in Ipswich and then travel to Peterborough on Friday where Glasgow were also due to ride. Following the Peterborough postponement I was still hoping to do Ipswich as a one off but a round trip of 240 miles and the poor weather forecast made me abandon plans yesterday. I was also caught out by a very late call off at Ipswich a few years ago and vowed not to go there again unless the weather conditions were forecast to be dry throughout the day of the meeting.
