A good solid team performance by Long Eaton, which saw them overpower the Mercia Vikings. The visitors were led by the excellent Danyon Hume, whose gating prowess and overall pace proved too much to handle, and Hume notched up the three fastest times of the match, on a rather slick surface. But they were slightly "top heavy" and together with the unlucky Craig Hancocks' two falls, it was the home sides' greater strength in depth which proved the difference. Well done, gentlemen !!
