Another guest not doing it for us costs us the points.

Not having Jakobsen cost us 3 points. Also missing Boxall and Lykke. Count yourself lucky you escaped with a draw

Thought the track was well prepared and after last week Len was still watering at 6.30pm.

Scunny riders attacked the track and got the rewards.

Going into heat 14 fearing the worst as up to that point Proctor had 3 points from 4 rides but he went out and won it. Where was he in the other 4 rides?

Good job 2 of the team and Starke were up to the task.

If Warren Scott is going to do something with Rye he had better start soon.

The crowd was poor tonight. Apart from Eddie,Anders and Starke the rest were rubbish. Robin has gone backwards the last few weeks, Dan looks out of his depth.

I didn't go much last year because I didn't want to waste my hard earnt money on the crap on offer. This season is in danger of going the same way.

Season over already then. Murdered at home by Sheffield, lost at an awful Redcar and dropping points at home to mighty Scunthorpe.

Same old predictable crap season after season.

Scott must surely see Silver has made that club rotten to the core by now.

Some were sticking up for Aspergren when I questioned his performances recently, but his scores have been crap for weeks.

If

If

If

Lots of ifs there.

But I reckon that Shadders wins the if game.

Mind you if Josh could manage a few more race wins then the Scorpions might have pulled off a win.

Just to back up that with some stats

Nikolaj is averaging 8.34 at home, RR last night averaged 6. Steve averaging 6.05 at home, Proctor averaged 4.80. Kasper averaging 6.13, Starke averaged 5.60. Pretty clear the Rockets missed the absentees more.

Couldn't be there last night, so can't comment on individual performances. Gotta grudgingly agree with Chris. Robins scores have tailed off after a promising start. Haven't seen Dan Greenwood race yet, but he seems out of his depth in the PL.

I wasn't there on Monday so can't comment but I was there last night to witness what I regard as a damn good speedway meeting with both sides deserving praise for their efforts.

Funny how the PL finds riders out. They look great in the NL, perform well in the so called EL but when it comes to mixing it with decent riders the PL sorts out the wheat from the chaff. Dan Greenwood looks further away from the PL than Ben Morley and thats saying something. With someone like Paul Starke who is ten times the rider than when we had him if someone like him was partnering Kasper then i doubt we would continually get turned over.

The season so far is so disjointed as far as the team is concerned. Starting with the farce that is Kennett being first choice of Lakeside when fixtures clash with ours is beyond comprehension given that we gave up ownership of Garrity to secure Kennett. The two Danish boys being absent for other commitments is beginning to show a real weakness. I'll give Robin the benefit of the doubt for the time being,he's good to watch and pretty decent around the big circuits and perhaps maybe the worry and pressure of his newborn son has taken its toll but he needs to get up towards a seven point average otherwise he is no good to us. Again last night Anders Mellgren was poor, his points came from beating far inferior riders but never really troubled the likes of Pijper which is a concern. Scunthorpe were by far the better team and had they used Wilkinson in the last race rather than Autey who looked average they might just have won given Edwards run of dodgy heat 15 results. Edward quite superb last night and we have him to thank for a point. If we have our full team out then we will cause trouble for most sides but how often is that going to happen.

All in all it was a very good meeting but to drop points against a Scunthorpe team at home is very poor result. looks like another dud of a season already dropping five points at home.

Perhaps the most disappointing thing of the night was the programme notes of Silver Snr. He look another chance to knife his Son in the back over the Bank Holiday Monday Fiasco adding a little told you so comment. Seems i had him wrong all the time he cares more about his dwindling reputation than he does about the club. I never thought i would say it but i hope that he wanders off to pastures new at the end of the season and leaves the club to someone who seems far more committed to the cause. Makes me laugh on here comments about how good the track was with Silver watering right up tip 630. Had there been one speck of dust then i reckon there would have been a lynching. I wonder when the penny will drop about the connection between 2PM starts and dust

Definitely would agree that it was Rye who handicapped by Guest riders.

Seems to be a theme running through some of the Scunthorpe fans that they make excuses for any shortfalls big or small.

Could also say without David Howe we missed a rider who tends to fill his boots around Rye

Always ifs and buts in speedway..and end of the day results dont lie

Handy 2 points for the Scorps

Good to hear the track was good last night also after last week
