STOKE Easy Rider Potters hope to kick start their home season when they entertain local rivals Buxton in the City Gearboxes National League at Loomer Road on Saturday night, 7pm.The Potters have only managed one home meeting due to the weather but hope that they will finally get on track on Saturday against the Hitmen who have also been hit by the weather recently. The Potters will be at full strength for the clash in which they will be looking to open their league campaign with a victory over their local rivals. The Hitmen have suffered defeats in all three of their opening fixtures losing out at Scunthorpe in a challenge before losing out to Coventry Storm in their opening home meeting of the season and most recently losing out to Kings Lynn Young Stars at the Norfolk Arena. Buxton are led into action by former Potters skipper and veteran Tony Atkin who continues to pile the points up. He is supported by another former Potter who will be looking to score big points in Ben Hopwood who spent last season with the Potters. Adam Extance completes the heatleader trio as he looks to continue his improvement for the Hitmen with Ryan Blacklock and Tom Woolley completing the Hitmens top five. At reserve the Hitmen have Ben Basford and David Holt who has turned out for the Stoke Spitfires in the Midland Development League on many occasions.Potters skipper Jon Armstrong said We are looking to start our home league campaign with three points against Buxton on Saturday. We owe it to our supporters after our disappointment at Eastbourne on Sunday when we just couldnt find a set up that would drive us forward so the lads and I are looking forward to getting out there and giving our supporters something to cheer about.STOKE: Jon Armstrong (Captain), Chris Widman, Ryan Terry-Daley, Danny Phillips, Lee Payne, Ryan MacDonald. Now Sunday 10th 3pm

STOKE Easy Rider Potters home meeting against Buxton on Saturday night has been moved back a day to Sunday afternoon with a 3pm start time.

With heavy rain in the Potteries on Friday afternoon and evening and with further rain forecast for Saturday Dave Tattum spoke with Buxton counterpart Jayne Moss and hastily rearranged the fixture for Sunday afternoon when the forecast is for drier weather.

Potters promoter Dave Tattum explained “With the forecast for the next 24 hours of rain we felt it best to move quickly and rearrange the fixture and give us time to get the track ready. Sunday’s forecast is for it to be dry and with Buxton not having a home fixture on the day it made sense to move the fixture back a day. I’d like to thank Jayne Moss for her co-operation in this and we look forward to seeing some action on Sunday afternoon.

Any news on the Stoke reserves? Horrendous luck to lose both to injury in HT2. Wasn't there so don't know what happened but fingers crossed both are ok.

Edit. My bad just seen it on Speedway GB. Rotten luck for Tedham. Scoring good points and a real treat at reserve fingers crossed he isn't out for too long.

Ryan seems ok according to his dad just a few bruises. Shaun less so but being shaun is upbeat about his return as soon as. Ben Hopwood also broke his wrist in ht 15.
