topsoil
Sorry for arriving late to the conversation but I've only had the opportunity to watch the meeting tonight. Very impressed with the Glasgow set up this season. Yes it has taken a lot of investment, but that is necessary after such a long time of neglect. I really hope other promotions take a look at the meeting to see what can be achieved. Every meeting looks better in front of a big crowd. I would really like to see other promotions try and fill their stadiums for the televised meetings, even if it means letting fans in for free or very little. See if you can get the meeting sponsored, to meet the costs, then give them a hell of a lot of exposure in front of the cameras. But perhaps the biggest thing I was impressed with was the idea that they are looking into building an academy next to the existing track. That would be brilliant news for Scottish speedway, which has fallen off the radar completely as far as Scottish riders are concerned. Hoping to come up to Glasgow later in the season when Berwick are up. Wish the club all the best, after looking like they could be going out of existence, the fans must now be in heaven.
Fromafar
I know its about opinions, but anyone remotley thinking Bates shouldnt have been excluded ........is wrong. For what it is worth(not a lot I would imagine)I agree.
TheScotsman
Bates had to go - by a 70:30 margin.

I have to pinch myself, every time I walk through the gates, to ensure I'm not just dreaming about the improvements. Hope you enjoy your visit too.

Cue Ball
So if you were Konopka what would you have done? I suspect that you and Arson actually agree with each other - he should have been excluded. I thought it was 50/50 on Tuesday night, but watching the replays again last night at Owlerton j think the correct decision was made

weatherwatcher
He looked so much like the Josh Bates, when he was at Leicester last season, he either wins and wins big time or falls off the bike, from what we saw of him last season, I am afraid he spent more time falling off, than staying on, he really needs to put in a bit more time traing, for when watching him the other night he still dose not seem to have enough strength in his arms, to handle the bike around the bends. He will get there but not for a few more years.

Undercover Elephant
Really enjoyed this meeting. Nice track and some good riders at PL level. I also noticed the hothead Josh Bates still hasn't matured as a rider in those particular situations. The lack of respect towRds a fellow rider was the same Busch league stuff he had a few seasons ago when he foolishly punched a wall! All it needs is a tougher rider to knock the snot out of this kid for a come to Jesus meeting, it might make him more better equipped to deal with a situation should it arise again, which it will no doubt. nagy1
The incident was almost identical to one a few heats earlier when Compton passed him at the same point and he came off!!! Obviously gets a bit panicky when riders are close to him!!
Tigerish
Also very similar to the one where Lawson's footrest caused Garrity's chain to come off - unpunished !!!
Gazc
Also very similar to the one where Lawson's footrest caused Garrity's chain to come off - unpunished !!! Yes there could have been a case for Rich to have gone in that heat wasn't intentional as he picked up and carried into Jason but there could have been a case for his exclusion. nagy1
Also very similar to the one where Lawson's footrest caused Garrity's chain to come off - unpunished !!! Not really similar at all but I'm bored in work so i'll bite!!! The clash between Richard & Jason was an unfortunate one! RL obviously never meant to knock the chain off. It is the epitome of a racing incident. It is difficult to call. no one came off and the race wasn't stopped.
