g13webb
The whole scenario of the selection process was laughable. It left a bad taste in everyone's mouth, everyone, except Poole that is... How the leagues top FTR , Kyle Newman was only ranked 6th , was beyond everyone imagination..

In reality it makes no difference, Newman was always going to ride for Poole irrespective of his ranking, the only difference it made was that we could pick Starke who hasn't exactly done well and it has been proved several 2nd tier riders are better than he is. Starke was rightly ranked top in 2nd tier, however you are correct regards Newman - he was only ever going to be protected by Poole. Don't agree with the rankings tho as Newman has already proved he is a higher ranked rider on EL experience alone.
Falcon Hammer
Got to admit I wouldn't change any of our riders except 1st fast track; although when Steve Boxall's back, we should improve. Just need Mikkel to get on top of his bike problems, sad to see him struggling I can understand why the Swindon fans were moaning last season about FTR; massive disadvantage & nothing you can do about it
Bryn
RACEDAY WEATHER CHECK - 12.20pm First raceday weather check and here, very near the Dartford crossing, it's been dry and bright all morning with NO hint of rain. The various forecasts predict there'll be no problems as far as today's weather is concerned but should there be any change, then I'll update immediately. Next scheduled update circa 3.30pm from the track.

I had no issue with Poole safeguarding Newman. That was expected, same as us with Lewis Kerr. The false ranking of Newman, Not only allowed Poole to retain your 1st choice, (Newman), but also gave you second pick of the second tier rider. Whether you choose right or wrong is irrelevant . At least you had a choice .

KevtheRev
since when have EL clubs ran home meetings on a weekly basis. Not right that half our fixtures are run in the first 2 months and for the remaining 5 months, there are only 8 fixtures!!!!
speedwaysliders
Whats the track going to be like tonight as here come the steady drizzle!!! im 6 miles from the track Edited May 8, 2015 by speedwaysliders
KevtheRev
I would hope that the rain will be of benefit and produce a track that will give us some racing - don't think it will be too much to worry about. My fear is that they will scrap all the dirt off and we'll have a bore fest. Needless to say a third successive home loss on a crap track would be disastrous, especially with no meetings for 3 weeks. SCB
Steady drizzle with Watt and Schlein due to ride is always a concern! Having seen Lakeside ride in steady drizzle on Monday and last year at Lakeside I'd say it's a massive concern to Lakeside, as Nilsson aside they looked pants both times (mind you, last year Watt was one of them)
KevtheRev
Ah but this year our pants are even bigger with a few stains and skiddies. BTW, drying up around her now. Edited May 8, 2015 by KevtheRev

mdmc82
Think this meeting hinges on Kacper G for Poole, does he need to have a full fitness test to ride after his spill at Poole on wednesday?,and if not who can take his rides if he pulls out after one ride?!! I know i shouldnt think along these lines,but........!! If he pulls out during the meeting then only the riders below him can take his rides which means Blackbird and Starke.
