marko
I see that the Hammers have booked Rory Schlein for AJ and Poole have booked PK for Janowski and Blackbird for Newman, I got this down as another home defeat. Who would have thought this time last season that we would end up facing a team a year later with Davey and PK on the other side of the pits?
foreverblue
You would think with Davey Watt and PK we would be favourites for this one but Watt isn't in the form of his life and although PK is going well i think Schlein is a better guest and Holder hates the place along with Gomolski who if he is riding after damaging his wrist last night in a heat 14 fall would also hate it i would imagine. SteveLyric2
Davey was very 'down' in his post meeting interview last night, what with the death of his grandmother and then blowing his engine in heat 15. But if he can reproduce his heat 13 ride then he will be fine - he just needs more laps. Kacper only scored 4 points back in 2013 when riding for the Robins, which may have been his first visit?! Lets hope he's fit as his back was also giving him a problem after his heat 14 spill last night! Edited May 7, 2015 by Skidder1
The Voice Of Reason
So many results this season have been dependent upon the returns from the reserve positions. So this result really could be down to a much needed improvement in Adam's consistency, and a fully-fit Steve Boxall. The remaining riders (and guests within the main body of both teams) are pretty evenly matched; all guests of course having considerable experience of the Lakeside track. It could potentially have been a banker home win; had our promotion had the foresight to sign Lewis Blackbird from the outset. I see he's riding for Poole tomorrow. No prizes for guessing who I believe will be pivotal in the outcome of this meeting. Hate to say it but I can only see this being Lakeside's third home loss in succession; bearing in mind also that we've lost our last four; with confidence seemingly evaporating as each meeting passes by. Fail to win this one, and our season is basically over - during the first week of May. Edited May 7, 2015 by The Voice Of Reason

I see he's riding for Poole tomorrow.(It wasn't a question of foresight. Lakeside were never in a position to have the option of choosing Backbird, due to the way the order in which the picks were taken. Just as Leicester who should have had first pick somehow finished up with fifth pick. The real problem with the Fast Track, (or should I say Farce Track) is that Poole will have a guest who is at least as good if not better than their injured reserve while Lakeside will not be able to get a guest reserve who is remotely comparable to the injured Steve Boxall and Adam Ellis who,is from the second tier will be the best reserve for Lakeside, effectively standing in the shoes of their first tier reserve. The Fast Track /Farce track was a great idea that somehow they have managed to mess up and lose even more fans that won't be back Edited May 7, 2015 by E I Addio

mdmc82
Think this will be a 4pt away win Lakeside are really struggling for form at the moment.
Bagpuss
Looks like an away win on paper, might be different on shale though.
cityrebel
Friday night come 10pm and Lakeside's season could well be over. Can't see them making any sort of challenge if they lose to Poole.with only eight home meetings remaining after tomorrow nights match, lakeside's season is nearly over regardless of the result! SCB
with only eight home meetings remaining after tomorrow nights match, lakeside's season is nearly over regardless of the result! It made me laugh when they announced last week that ticket for the end of season dinner and dance would be on sale this week - Are things really that bleak?! cityrebel
As a lakeside regular, but not a lakeside fan. Things do seem pretty bleak at purfleet at the moment.
BluPanther
All depends on North. If North scores well then we will win. I cant see Gomolski scoring anything more than 4. Blackbird, Holder, Karlsson & Watt will score big points. It's unlikely he will score 4, he hates the place...
SteveLyric2
Most Polish riders do. I only have Gomolski down to beat Ellis, Boxall, Starke and maybe Blackbird. Gomolski may not be riding yet?! A bit battered and in pain after last night!
Starman2006
Gomolski may not be riding yet?! A bit battered and in pain after last night! Must admit, he was in quite a lot of discomfort after the meeting..
E I Addio
Gomolski may not be riding yet?! A bit battered and in pain after last night! Hmmm, no doubt Joe Screens doctor will certify him unfit and a track specialist guest will come in. with only eight home meetings remaining after tomorrow nights match, lakeside's season is nearly over regardless of the result! How can it be nearly over ? We haven't had the mid-season collapse yet.

He was in a lot of discomfort last night, is that quite clear enough for you. If he's not fit to ride he doesn't ride, is that simple enough for you to understand ? To the best of my knowledge, pecking order in the first round was Belle Vue, Coventry, Kings Lynn, LAKESIDE, Leicester, Poole, Swindon, WOLVES. The Voice Of Reason
Fair enough SCB - thanks for the clarification. Yep, concede on that one EI Addio - suffice to say that I still think Jon and Neil need their heads tested for initially picking Ashley Birks. Moreover, there were no doubt one or two verbal 'gentleman's agreements' before the selection process - and I didn't read anywhere our management's desire to select Blackbird. When all is said and done, the scenario around our Number 7 race jacket (over the past month) has been nothing other than farcical.
